"Black Friday" Gaming Deals Catch-all

I once again state that Black Friday is not some coined term for "There is a sale so all the black people come out to shop."

Wow. Was that in question at some point? :boggle:

EDIT: Do only black people shop during sales? I feel so sheltered...

I always thought of it as a day for white trash to come out of their trailer parks and attempt to interact with civilized society, hence the craziness.

I usually spend it like I spend any other day off of work, lounging around watching TV and playing video games.

While not really a Black Friday deal, as it ends this coming Friday I thought this would be an appropriate place to put it.

20% off any item at K-Mart

So go buy a game console.

Wow. That's... that's really nice actually. Man. That might deserve its own thread, just because people may not click on this until closer to Black Friday.

I believe SommerMatt was employing the subtle art of sarcasm.

Amazon has a deal on right now where if you buy Bioshock for $49 you get The Darkness for free. link

I don't even HAVE a 360, and I'm tempted by that one...

That's a very tempting grab right there.

They TRU sale reads like they're trying to dump excess video game stock to me.

supposedly Wal-Mart is having a "secret sale" on black friday... buy an 80GB PS3, get *10* free blu-ray movies instantly... you get to pick the titles (anything under $30).

On 11/24 at 8:00am (running through 11:59pm on 11/25), the 80GB PS3 ($499) will come with 10 FREE Blu-ray movies instantly. You choose any 10 BD titles under $30 within the store and they will override the prices to zero. For those stores that carry BD already, additional titles are being sent in for the sale. For those that do not have BD in their store (a small minority) product will be sent to each store specifically for this sale.

Oh, and you still get your 5 FREE movies by mail.

I hear Sears has a 46" LCD tv for $999 this Friday, sale starts at 5:00 am. Not sure of the brand.

TRU is having Buy 2 Get 3 on all Wii games - and it's good online.

I don't have the link in front of me, but I think it's at Target where COD4 (360) is going to be $48. I'll pick it up at that price...

I wouldn't put too much stock in the 5 free BluRay Movies with the purchase of the PS3. I bought mine and mailed it according to the instructions they provide and I still haven't seen a package from them...it's been about 4 months. If it works for you great, but buyer beware.

could be. but that has nothing to do with the 10 free movies you pick out in store when you buy it.

HOW DID YOU KNOW OUR SECRET?

I like white chocolate. Does that mean something like Eminem?

White and annoying? Yea probably.

It should come, just have to be patient. The movies I picked for my folks just got to them after months of wait...

For anyone interested, Best Buy has Bioshock and Orange Box for Windows for $25 each. Not having played ANY of the games included with Orange Box, $25 was too cheap for me to pass up. I emailed Bioshock to my wife (for a friendly Christmas suggestion).

Free shipping too! Picked up Cooking Mama DS for $9.99 + tax. Tons of other deals at BB, including Lord of the Rings Online for $9.99. Circuit City and some of the other stores also have their specials up.

Check out the front page of CheapAssGamer.com for all the current deals.

Settlers of Catan is marked down from $40 to $24 at Amazon today.

The last round of the Amazon vote thingie has a 46" 1080P LCD for like $799 and it's way ahead of the other two items.

Of course they have to select you to buy it. The jerks.

Its $719 now, and man that is a sweet deal. I also voted for the $29 electric scooter. For, y'know, the kids...

If I get picked for that TV I'll probably buy it, and I don't even have a use for it.

Is that really bad?

I voted for the TV... I might go for it if I get picked.

I also voted for the Wii deal today... alas, no offer for me.
