That's who I have so far. If you're reading this, chime in if you're in. That means you, Jayhawker, Donan, etc.

I'd love to assume you're all in. I think we'd all love to have everyone back. But I need a definitive head count so I know how large to create the league when I create it for Season 2.

Also, am I to assume that an 8 game season works well for everyone? I'll also double-check to make sure no one plays twice. I think that happened last season. It's just the way 2k set it up. I'll double check to make sure that doesn't happen. In fact, I'll take this year's schedule down and try to make it such that people who never played get to play.

Although, if there are any "rivalries" out there, you can make a special request and I'll make sure you play in Season 2.

I don't know if I can be in a league overseen by someone who sold Orange Box without even trying Half-Life 2.

Count me in!! I will probably run Sayers/Montana I will post up others as the team developes.

I will be buying it this week again... hopefully that makes all forgiven.

I may be the commish, but I'm still me.

I'm undecided. Too many things going on. But I'm leaning toward passing on Season 2. It was a great season one and I enjoyed playing with everyone. And I so loved all the stats too. DS' had great patience and yet a sturdy hand as Admin.-Thanks.

Noooooooo!!!

Khaaaaannnnnn!!!

I'm in!

Eight weeks sounds fine. Also, could you check and make sure we all have road and home games? I was set for playing the entire season on the road this season. Would be nice to see my home stadium.

Probably not for this season, but I would like to see a draft version of this league. It would only add to the interesting choices we all have to make. Maybe it's crazy. Maybe it's so crazy that it just might work!

Really? How odd. Sorry about that. I auto-generated the season and assumed it had the good sense not to do things like that.

I'm sure it's been obvious, but I'm in with The Juice. 8 weeks is fine. (Hell, I'd even do more...I mean, the difference between 2-6 and 2-8 isn't that bad.)

Damnit, Donan, we'll miss you. That was a hell of a fun game we played.

Pure gold.

The Juice is on the Loose!!

I always would say that (whisper it, think it) when OJ would get loose for a long run when I first started playing this game. I'm tempted to use him, but I'm much more of a passing team now. Something fun, yet sadistic about running roughshod over someone with OJ.

It's funny - I evolved into a passing team last season because my running game was awful. Part of that was definitely me. Part of that was also Curt Warner...who would show flashes, but then disappoint. Playing with O.J. lately is like driving a Mercedes rather than my '96 Saturn, which has the turning radius of a battleship.

I think the running game is gonna' help me rather than hurt me this time around...yeah. Yeah, I'll believe that.

Can't really be worse...I had the second worst rushing yardage and the second lowest yards per rush. While some of that is due to sacks, Curt Warner had the lowest yards per carry of the top 14 rushers in the league...20% lower than the next lowest!

Count me in for season 2

My schedule was the exact opposite, all games at home. I think the league schedule maker-thingy was trying to take pity on me. I still sucked.

So far for my team I've got Montana/OJ and Daryl Johnston. Everyone else still up in the air.

I've reverted back to Cunningham, I think. Hopefully not everyone picks him. I was struggling with how I wanted to configure my team and eventually I just went through Gold, Silver, Bronze and picked my favorite players at each level. Using that method I came up with the following. Keep in mind this is no strategy, just who I like and roll the dice. The only strategy was that I knew I wanted a Free Safety and Eric Turner is my favorite player in the game who plays that position. This is like my Tecmo dream team minus a few missing names.

I might still try to terrorize the league with Ben Coates, but I always liked Eric Green better and Herman Moore better.

Gold
Rod Woodson
Derrick Thomas

Silver
Randall Cunningham
Eric Turner
Herman Moore

Bronze
Clyde Simmons
Dan Saleamua
Ken Norton Jr.
Rob Moore
Eric Green
Christian Okoye

I'm still torn on the running back situation. I see the draw of a gold RB. My favorite players at that position are Sanders and Thurman Thomas. I'm just not sure how much bang for your buck you get out of a gold RB. Any advice on this? I love Okoye, so I'm tempted to stick with him out of familiarity and out of pure affection for the player. But the pragmatic part of me wonders about dumping Woodson for Thurman or Barry and then picking up a bronze CB.

I had Barry last season. If no one was assigned to him I could tear defenses up, but if you put someone on him (ex. Singletary) he was almost worthless. Could be (probably) I just sucked.

Running the ball is its own little skill which I openly admit to getting quite frustrated with watching generics reliably take down Marcus Allen. It's a mix of playing to a back's strengths (not trying to run someone over with Barry Sanders) and use of the control scheme (to be both timely and skilled).

DS, I'm in!!!! I haven't check in a while, but I'm still in. I'll post my lineup here shortly.

I'd be up for like 10 weeks, and maybe that will help avoid a sub .500 team from making the playoffs. With that said, have a stiffer deadline. I'm good with whatever, I had fun last season.

I think having more games with a stiffer deadline has definite merit. I'll have to see if I can make the season longer by just 2 more games. I'm not sure if I can.

Also, hate to do this, but now we're in the preseason. All talk should move over to the preseason thread.

We're getting close to Season 2.

I would like in for season two if there is room.
