NYC/Metro Area Slap & Tickle Thread

Pages

Alright, this thread is now for ANY NYC/Metro area Slap & Tickles. Whenever. Talk amongst yourselves.

I'm interested. Southwestern CT here.

I really just came into this thread to give you all the raspberry.

(From Chicago, with "love")

I'd say something typically NY and vulgar, but i'd get in trouble.

So two. I know Gorilla lives in the area, but we're still at two. We can't even make five? What, do all GWJ Members live in Canada/America's Midcoastal Wasteland? (KIDDING, KIDDING)

We would know more if people added themselves to frappr.

I'm up above West Point.

Nah, we're just in NC.

DDRUN,

Well I'm out on the Island, and could easily make it into the city at least.

Of course July is about the latest I'd be willing to say yes to. Looks like I'm moving in August atm.

North NJ. Up for a meet-up anywhere in the city, NJ, or reasonaby close upstate.

Pred, where you at, BTW?

Well since I'm in Queens, I could try to make it... although, I'm not making any promises. At least not yet!

I'm in White Plains right now (sort of) but in Ulster County when the semester ends, so getting down to the city is no trouble.

So what, does July sound most workable for people? Maybe sometime Mid-July, the 13th or 14th, or the 21st?

We will likely be driving north to VT around that time. If y'all don't mind us crashing the party.....

What he said, although I really would prefer not meeting in the city.

I *know* I've seen more New Jersey locations than this here....

Mid/Northern NJ. City sounds great to me, I was wondering why NYC wasn't getting the Slap&Tickle love.

I will probably be relinquishing what little remains of my freedom around then. Maybe I can make it a Bachelor party destination.

I will not be attending this one.

Just want to get that out there, without ambiguity.

Carry on.

I would probably be able to make it.

So should we go with the city or try somewhere nearby? Opinions people? I personally prefer the city because, well, I know it.

I would also prefer the city, since anything else means that I to go through the city to get to it. Unless everyone else wants to come out to the island. And well there are LOTS of things to do in the city.

I suggest Dave & Buster's on 42nd Street (Times Square). They have a decent arcade and an eatery.

OK, I'll bite...why do I want to do this?

To do what?

I don't know why you'd want to do this. The rest of us would like to do it because we think it'd be fun to actually have a conversation with the people you've gotten to know online.* Mind you, there is no actual slapping and tickling. Unless you ask nicely.

Okay, so i'm going to pull an executive decision and say that the unofficial date shall be Saturday, July 21st, 2007. In New York City. Somewhere. We'll get that figured out too.

'Rilla, i'm unfamiliar with Dave & Buster's? Got a link maybe?

*And drink.

Damn Ed, I thought you were managing the Google Earth file now you want to hand that duty off to a third party?

Pred, Dave & Buster's is a national chain where each establishment combines a restaurant (Appleby's or TGIF kinda fares), a bar, and an arcade under one roof. They're clean and reasonably orderly, because they keep riff-raff gangstas and unaccompanied kids out.

The one at Times Sq has a decent size arcade with a few big-ass shooting games such as HOTD4 and the newer Konami ones, as well as a SuperNova DDR. Food is OK (TGIF/Appleby's kida fare). Family friendly, if you're intending to bring any Goodjerlings. A perfect shoe-in, I say.

Updated my homies!

So, like I said, 7/21. Having taken a look at 'Rilla's suggestion, Dave & Buster's sounds like a fantastic place to have a Meet & Greet, and will be easy to find (as opposed to some place in the ass-end of Queens). Does this sound good to everyone? Can I get an early headcount as to how many people we'd be able to get for this?

'Rilla: I'll do some research as to planning ahead for people, so we can ensure we'll have space. I am assuming they'll let us reserve space aside from the Event Planning section, which seems like it's designed for groups of significantly larger size.

I should be good for this. Pencil me in, but use a pencil without an eraser.
My WoW guild held a get-together at a D&B's and it's a fine venue.

I am in.

I'm in!

So that makes two. Three, including me. That's kind of pathetic, really.

Anyone else? Anyone? Bueller?
