Man sues IBM over firing, says he's an Internet addict

Swampy always has one hand on the collective.

For anyone still playing along, IBM is like other companies in that it offers "Professional counseling for a broad range of concerns, including substance abuse and depression" to its employees, per its website. This guy's problems fall under that umbrella; and if a shrink told him to take, say, Wellbutrin, that'd be under his prescription drug plan.

He had support available; he wasn't left to twist in the wind. For good or ill, the modern world isn't Sparta. (How is that remarkable city-state faring these days, anyway?)
