Finished Any Games Lately?

I finished Enchanted Arms! 98% of Golems collected, 100% Skills. I love the fact that all the achievements were secret, and I hate the fact that none of them reward my OCD. I forced myself to NOT level all my Golems and burn out on the game after getting Omega Golem (or whatever he is called) and instead powered through the last area.

It is my first 1000 point game on Live.

Next on the list: Double Agent and Gears of War. With a 'casual' intent to finish FFXII. Those inverted camera controls seriously mess me up for all other games if I get into it. It took me playing through 80 hours of Enchanted Arms to get my thumbs back on track for Online Gears.

Developers: Make Camera Controls Customizable or Consistent! Thanks!

Like Katerin and DS, I "finished" the main story line of Lego Star Wars II. Still plenty to do, and I'm still enjoying it, so I expect it will see more play.

We were talking about this last night a little during Gears. Someone's friend was asking if there's any requirements to sign up with GWJ, and it was proposed that if we can't tell if you're a guy or girl (implied that we're hearing the sound of your voice in XBL), then you're probably not goodjer material. I pointed out that this isn't necessarily true on the forums, as we're not all terribly explicit in our self-references here.

Walking that anonimity tightrope.

So true. I'm actually an aardvark.

Finished up Zelda: Minish Cap last night. Finally. Great game, I can't wait for the DS one.

I've watched your TV show on PBS!

Twilight Princess after four or five fairly solid Saturdays.

Twilight Princess, Rayman Raving Rabbids (Single player storyline, if that counts), Final Fantasy XII.

I'm happy to report that as of last night, I finally finished GRAW 360. I also realized something that made me want to slam my head into the wall. For much of the later levels in the game, I was getting incredibly frustrated because not only were the levels difficult (look, a mission of vital national security and we're going to send you without your squad for absolutely no reason, but my Cross-Com has suddenly stopped calling out enemies. I got up to the second last mission without it but it was in some cases taking dozens of reloads.

At a laster level when I finally got my squad back, I noticed that when I commanded them to move somewhere, the blue arrows under their destination weren't appearing. Then when cruising the Ubisoft boards, I discovered something both amazing and confusing. You can turn the damnable Cross-Com off if you want! I must've accidentally done that at some point previously and it kept carrying over level-to-level. The thing is that the ability isn't covered in the tutorials anywhere and since it's a rental copy, I didn't have the manual. I turned the thing back on and levels that were listed in FAQs as very hard suddenly became a breeze.

Oh, that pesky X button. I had the same thing happen to me when I was first playing it. Add to it that the stupid symbols for on and off look damn near identical, and it's really hard to tell which one switches it on.

DOOM.

..what? Stop looking at me...

I finished Dreamfall the longest journey and Brothers in arms 2.

Working hard at finishing Gears and Tiger woods

Finished Secret Files of Tunguska. Had to plow through some damn ridiculous puzzles, but finally made it. Not bad all in all.

Almost, almost done with Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.

What is this, the almost, almost finished games thread? I've got to go fix my list.

With Castlevania you just never really know until the credits run.

Ok, now I'm finished with it.

Now that I'm recovering from knee surgery, I have some time to finish some games (and play more WOW - BC. Finished up Call of Duty 2 (finally) and GRAW on the PC. Whew!

Woohoo!

It's the little things that make me happy.

Finished Gears on hardcore, with some co-op help. Not only was it fun to tag-team Raam with the bow and the sniper rifle, calling out the timing to coordinate attacks, but my partner was kind enought to remind me that those bat thingies don't like the light. I kept fleeing Raam and getting eaten by the swarm before that.

Finished Rainbow 6 Vegas last night, really loved it. Can't wait for a sequel! I rented Double Agent, so I'm gonna give that a try this weekend.

I finished up Splinter Cell: Double Agent for the Xbox 360 this weekend. Probably my least favorite experience of the bunch, given how often you were left with no shadows to hide in. Instead, you're left trying to finagle the camera angles so you can work the whole line-of-site thing. It had its moments, and I don't regret playing it, but it wasn't a high point in the series for me.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin,
but I haven't done any of the extra modes except boss rush course 2. Now I'm going back to Super Princess Peach(one new ability and one new stage per level, wish it had a hard mode).

Finished R6 Vegas the other day. I'm trying to finish Mario & Luigi: Partners in TIme. I like the game, but damn I want it to finish already.

Finally finished Vampire Bloodlines today. Pretty standard Troika stuff, great ideas baked to incredible halfness.

Jak and Daxter, Jak II, for the PS2. Just never got 'round to the first two.

Avatar: The Last Airbender for the Wii. The kids decided on this for some reason. They beat it way before I did.

Trying to get four seconds to rub together to finish off Lost Planet.

Finished the first No One Lives Forever yesterday. I know it has its fans, and yes it was fun, but oh my god did this game feel like it dragged on. Even when you think you've beaten it it's not over. The briefing/debriefing cut scenes are often far too long and dull. There's way too many points where it takes itself too seriously. This is supposed to be an over-the-top parody of 60's spy movies, but at times it's practically indistinguishable.

I hope I never finish Oblivion.

After about hour 60, either you will or it will sit on the shelf until you re-read this thread a year from now.

On a related note, I need to finish up the main quest in Oblivion. Damn you, Crouton!

LALALALALA... I'm not listening... LALALALALA

That's exactly what happened to Dragon Quest VIII for me, albeit at hour 75. In retrospect, that was 35 hours too many. The first time you fight a living bell that rings itself to call for backup, it's cute. The fiftieth time, not so much.
