Hyper expensive and sophisticated marketing tells me that I'm supposed to tag the new Medal of Honor for Game of the Week, and I got halfway through populating the increasingly bloated weekly release list fully expecting to do just that. But then, I got to the section on the DS, and realized that Super Scribblenauts is going to be released this week.
How the hell did that sneak up on me? Promises of better controls, improved physics and the ability to describe nouns with all-powerful adjectives are more than enough to get me excited about the impending release, and give me reason to break out my dormant DS.
There is something big and grand to be said by contrasting Medal of Honor and Super Scribblenauts, but it hasn't fully formed in my head. I realize it would be like comparing apples and napalm, but that blatant unfairness of comparison has never really stopped me before.
Also available this week, rereleases of Borderlands, Dragon Age and Uncharted 2, as well as the launch of LEGO Universe and the seventeenth expansion (let that sink in for a sec) to the original EverQuest.

for anyone who has seen our mexican Wrestling!
I find that EQ expansion somewhat depressing. I was playing that game in high school. There's still people paying for expansions to play it. Something feels very wrong about that.
There's a Collector's Edition for it too ...
How did I live before digital distribution of old, cheap games?

I want to play the Scribblenauts with adjectives just to see what it would spawn when I request an uxorious volcano.

I'm so excited for Super Scribblenauts. The new controls are awesome and definitely a lot better. I checked out the game while at PAX.

I'm going to GameFly Medal of Honor. I would also wanna pick up Borderlands GOTY but Civ 5 is basically eating all my time :-).

Gothic 4 has been delayed a week it won't be out till the 19th.
It's still out tommorrow in Europe, the delay is only for the US I believe.
inactive here until further notice.
this week will be awesome for Medal of honor and will be picking up Enslaved as well hopefully.
Ahh, the most dangerous game... Canadians.

The Lufia announcement inspired me to play some of the old ones in emulators. Awesome stuff. Particularly enjoying the gameboy color one on my Droid Eris phone.

That Uncharted 2 pack is a very, very good deal. I think it's $50 and comes with all the DLC (aside from an XMB motion theme). Regardless, if you haven't picked up Uncharted 2 yet, this is well worth the cash.

The new Pinball FX is a given. I have been looking forward to that since it was announced!
But hello, what's this? A Dragon's Lair release on the Wii? That was always one of my favorite series of games as a kid so unless they totally drop the ball on this one I'm going to have to pick it up.

I hate to be That Guy today, but you seem to have entirely overlooked the release of Sonic 4. Some of us are holding out for a decent side-scrolling Sonic game.
Next week is where it's at, though, with Kirby's Epic Yarn coming out. That game is adorable.
Professionally offended. Does not understand jokes. Needs a man to explain them to me.
I tried a couple of the ports over the years and they all seemed to have some kind of issue with the timing, or not running on my PC, or both. I'm on this if it actually a good, working port. I never finished either Dragon's Lair or Space Ace, despite putting a number of (my parents') quarters into them as a very young child.

The original Scribblenauts was so horrendously broken that my fear is that improving the controls massively could upgrade it from 'unusable' to merely 'finnicky'.
You've never known true joy until you've shaken a lich stick at someone.
Amazon says that Dragon Age is coming out on the 25th. Mistake?
I think I will pick up the Borderlands GOTY. I loved the game and haven't tried any of the dlc.

No doubt. I finished the original DL but never got around to DL2 or SA before they disappeared from my local arcades and gamer's interests. By the time they started releasing again as various ports the games never seemed to feel right. Either the timing/control was off, the wrong look, SOMEthing. If this is an honest recreation of the arcade originals then I'll gladly pay retail price for it.

Not Canadians. Canada. The biggest game of all. Pretty easy to hit, pretty hard to kill.

Yeah--it's listing the 26th anywhere I go. And this is the Toys'R'Us Buy Two, get One Free week. Noooooo!
I loved Borderlands, and I thought the DLC was even more fun than the original game. Talk about two great DLC included editions.
I cannot know about Everquest. That was the game that taught me that MMO's were a drug I'd better step carefully around. Back in 1992. Part of me is glad to hear it's still going. Part of me wants to erase the neurons that know this so I won't be tempted. La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
I picked up the DVD version they did back in the day of the original Xbox (you actually played it with the remote), and it was pretty good. I haven't tried any of them on an actual piece of game hardware, though. We might have to go take a look at that.

Eh? EQ came out in '99. I know this because I was beta testing it in '98 and... oh dear lord I thought I had blocked all those memories out.

I also miss-typed. 1992 was MUD-ville. Something else I have to stay out of.
Thank you for the catch. And I still can't know it, either.

GamersGate is selling it right now and I don't see them locking out NA customers. It may lock you out when you try to pay (as I didn't actually buy the game), but otherwise it's up for sale.
