Something Looks Different ...

Section:

If you've taken a look around today you might have noticed a bit of a facelift to the site. We tweaked the theme a little, installed a templating engine and updated the News module. Now that we've got this shiny new templating engine installed, we just have to start changing things, so expect a few minor changes here and there in the coming weeks. Also, be on the lookout for strange behavior, wierd colors, pages never updating, strange errors that make you cry when you don't know what they mean. Drop me a line if you notice anything out of place. Enjoy!

Very nice I like the new look on the main page. Looks slick!

I agree. It looks pretty sharp.

Progress is a nice thing.

Minor nag: Big GWJ logo in the upper left corner is not a home link any more. Can we have that back please?

Sorry, I hate the font.

I love it! Looks grrrrrrrrreat!

C'mon Flux, what has the ARIAL font ever done to you?

Arial is harder to read IMHO. Everything else is looking good, though. Wtg Pyro (and anyone else working on it)!

I can't access many threads...gives me various errors..

Any thread that's sufficiently long is erroring out, looking into it.

Also, working on the forums font. Don't know why it's different.

Sorry to be so critical. I should have said "I like the changes but the font hurts me eyes!"

If anybody could tell me the font the forums were originally that'd be great.

Also looks like forum threads not working has been fixed.

I don't know the font but I sure like Verdana.

Ok, here is an odd thing... When I log in, it log in ok but now under ongoing games I have a row with numbers...

10
9
27
8
25

does not really bother, because as soon as I go to any where on page it will disapear... either way I like the new look!IMAGE(http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/o/omg.gif)

PS. as soon as I click preview it gave me this massage:

Fatal error: Smarty error: [in editform.htm line 7]: syntax error: unrecognized tag 'pnml' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 551) in /var/www/html/includes/classes/Smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1102

I can not edit either... same message!

Haha, whoops! Fixed

Pyro...ya tha man! IMAGE(http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/c/clap.gif)

Where are some of these emoticons coming from? They are not on the list, hmmm. Is that a new change to Pyro? If so, I really want the emoticon where the dude is shooting the smiley is shooting the M-60.

My eyes...the fonts, they do nothing!

No, that's people just linking pictures from somewhere else.

Interesting.

I'm no web giant penis monster, but it looks like the fonts got changed from Arial to Verdana.

Praise be to Google cache!

Verdana font makes baby Jesus cry.

I like Verdana and this definitely isn't Verdana that I can tell. Maybe I am confused.

Why is my font italicized at 1600x1200? It isn't on my other PC at 1280x1024...

Comment link seems to be messed up if you go just the front page (can't click on comments) but if you click the hader for the this article and get the full list of Pyro posts then it is clickable.

Oh hmmm, now going back it works... very very strange.

Looks much cleaner - brought to you by the magic of CSS.

While we're nitpicking: for some reason I lose the white border on the right side of the "Related Links" and other boxes on the Home page, but not on any of the other pages. Strange, since I assume the entire site uses the same CSS file.

Yes, what's even stranger is that it's the exact same HTML Cloke. It does it when it loads the page from the cache. However, if you save the HTML on a time when it works, and compare it to the HTML on the time it's broken, there's no difference. At all. It's IE only too. Damn IE.

I think I fixed the comments link not working, let me know if it isn't.
