* = clinched playoff spot
+ = clinched regular season champion

What a way to end the season: #1 vs. #2. Might this be a Super Bowl preview? Probably not. Grump won't be resting any players this week, either, as he tries to hold on to his 6-point lead over Leap in the points race.

Only Minase, Leap and Certis have shots to make the playoffs and they all have games that they are favored to win. Basically, whoever loses will be left out due to Certis having the tiebreaker over Minase should they both end up at 8-6. If no one loses (or all lose), obviously, the top 4 standings won't change. I guess I could get into the two-teams-losing scenarios but that's too unlikely and I'm too laz... um, busy

Edit: Sorry, Certis, I don't mean to make your post look redundant. I had to step away in the middle of editing.

At this point, the playoffs are locked as is unless Leap loses his game this week and I win mine. I wish we were playing each other, so it would be more direct

Oh! If Minase loses, I may take his spot with point totals!

I'm not sure that I even deserve to make the playoffs without McNabb. Any given Sunday and all that, but my team pretty much went down with him.

I don't think there's any "may" about it. I don't know what exactly Yahoo uses for the tiebreaker, but you're 2-0 in the head-to-head against Minase and have a 107-point lead in the season total so, yeah, if he loses (and you win), then you should slide in to #4 (at least).

I am kicking myself for waiting so long to pull the trigger on benching the orange helmet and starting the mullet. We may miss the playoffs, but with the mullet signed on for a multi-year deal, my team has a bright future.

Wow. 1v2 in both leagues. What're the odds?

It appears that I need to win and score HUGE and have Phragg lose and score very poorly to have a shot at the playoffs.

Well, I am proud of my boys nonetheless. After winning their opener and then dropping 5 straight they refused to die, ran off 5 wins in a row, and are in the playoff hunt the final game of the season. And I am proud of my Vince Young pickup late in the season. Especially proud that I picked him up between Tuesday Noon and kickoff Sunday, something some players are having trouble with.

Well dammit Legion, all I need is Holt (against Chicago) and your kicker to score 41 points tomorrow. Get on that, ok?

Sorry, man. I've never had worse luck with a fantasy team than this one. I'm going to write a post-mortem on them pretty soon.

Unless there is some reason of which I am unaware that Legion needs to win by 11, the magic number is 31.

On a more personal note, I fear that my tenuous 2-point hold on the points title will slip from my grasp tomorrow when Steven Jackson goes up against Bernard Berrian.

Well, maybe I should be glad that Brees did not throw a pass in the 4th quarter yet that 39 points he racked up otherwise is painful.

I was just hoping Trowan or Minase would lose so I could slide into the middle playoff pairing. Looks like Grump is going to be able to hold off Trowan, maybe you'll get a rematch next week.

Yeah, maybe I'll take the last pick in the draft every year. Worst to first!

Well, I won and Phragged lost, but he'll get slot 4 on total points.

Balls.

3 points shy of a win. Marion Barber suddenly carries the ball only 2 times. That's just how this season has gone.

Focus of what's important here, Legion. If your kicker hadn't missed that field goal I'd be in the playoffs! And you left a lot of points on your bench, you bastard. This is all your fault!*

*Please note that losing six games has nothing to do with my not being in the playoffs.

I told Logan that I thought about benching Holt just to keep you out of the playoffs. The only barrier between me and actually doing that was laziness.

Pretty interesting week, the bottom playoff spots were wide open. Final playoff pairings:

1. Grump (1,754) vs 4. Trowan (1,591)
2. Minase (1,588) vs 3. Leap (1,772)

If LT keeps up his pace now that he's passed the record and Vick actually plays decent will Grump run away with it?

Missed the playoffs by 89 points..

I say again, Balls.

Eli may have passed Vick on the depth chart this week. I'll have to evaluate tomorrow.
LT still has a couple records to break (most points in a season, most weeks with multiple touchdowns) and San Diego still has something to play for (home field, bye week) so hopefully, week 15 should still deliver some points. Week 16, on the other hand, is a point of concern.
Regardless, a championship for the Chumps is definitely not assured.

Full week 14 results to be posted in a couple hours (after lunch).
