GWJ Store Has Launched!

Section:

People have been asking us for years when we’d be getting shirts and other cool stuff out the door so they can represent their love for our awesome community. The time has finally come to unveil the new store and we’re excited to have both the original Gamers With Jobs t-shirt along with the first winner from our design contest back in … wow, that’s a long time ago.

One of our absolute favorites was one of many designs submitted by community member Fredrik Skarstedt (Fredrik_S). He had a bunch of awesome ideas but his Friend Me Up graphic design was particularly inspired. We’re very pleased to offer a regular t-shirt in multiple colors and babydoll versions for the ladies!

This is only the beginning. Over the next few months we plan to release new stuff based on what you guys want and some of our other winning designs. Big thanks to Cleveland Printwear for making our awesome swag!

*note* We have folks outside the US and Canada covered too, check out the international order form on the site.

I, however, do have a test Friend Me Up shirt! It's not screen printed, so it's a penetrative dye, the surface of it feels no different than the rest of the shirt. You should be fine! Whether you like how it stretches across your (checks to see if wife is looking) "bountiful oogaba" is likely a taste/style thing.

What, can't she beta test these things for you?

With all the babies popping out around here, you'd make a killing on onesies.

Looks great!

This. I demand a GWJ themed onesie in pink and blue.

I don't know if they make them in your size, but I'll look into it. :)

I can already tell you that they don't. However, I do know that you should look into onesies in the following sizes:

3-6month
6-12month
12 month
18 month

Once you've gotten that down, toddler size t-shirts should be next on your agenda. That way, I can dress AnimeJr v2.4 in GWJ apparel from birth through kindergarten.

Where's the Wienerbomb shirt?

In the "in-jokes that don't sell" pile. Turns out the people who posted to say they wanted them were the ONLY ONES that wanted them ;)

Well in that case, for those of us who missed it the first time around, there should be some sort of a special order option. Because a Wiener Bomb shirt would rock.

Very appropriate that it's made by Cleveland Printwear.

Heh, I was thinking the same thing! Wonder if I get a discount if I go pick up my order, since this place is literally five minutes from my office...

Count me in the "anxiously awaiting the polo" crowd.

LilSally would want a 3-6 or 6-12 onesie:)

Has anyone gotten a shirt yet? I ordered mine that very Friday (i think that is when it was) and I still have not recieved mine. I am anxious!

Not yet.

The website says

Most orders will ship in 2-3 days. Delivery will depend on your where abouts. Tracking numbers will be provided when we ship.

I ordered on the 12th and haven't gotten my shipment notification yet. Looks like we're running on Valve time. The wording also makes it look like they're shipping ground, which is disappointing. For $10 I would have hoped for two-day.

With any new process there will be kinks. Hopefully this feedback will allow the overlords to work them out.

Yep, looking into it!

I received a shipping notice yesterday afternoon (ordered within minutes of the store going live). Looks like they're shipping priority USPS.

I got my shipping verification today. I live in Columbus though, so regardless of ground or air or whatever, I doubt it will take long for the 2 hour drive Probably 2 days anyway. I will update when I get it.

Got my shipment notification today also. I'll let you know when it arrives.

I received my tracking number last night -

And yah, not to be a prick - but for $10 shipping you would hope that they would move faster:)

That said - the shirt was a steal of a deal, and I am pumped to get it.

These ship from Warrendale!? I could freaking stop there on my way home.

Just got my shirt (was delivered 3/20). Looks great, and print is really solid looking.

The shipping label had the GwJ design on it - nice touch!

I got a notice from the post office yesterday; apparently I need to hit up the post office on Monday to pick mine up. What is weird, though, is the package form they left says I owe them postage for delivery... WTH?

I got to e-mail about it beign sent on Thursday. I hope to have it when I get home from work today. I mean cleveland is only 2 hours away. It should not take 4 days So excited...

Annoying.

I picked up my shirts today and they look great! The reason I had to go to the post office to pick them up is because Cleveland Steamer er Printwear used a flat rate priority label and then used a bag to ship the shirts in, instead of the required USPS box. So not only did I have to go into to pick up my shirts during postal service hours, but I had to also pay them an additional .59. Curious to hear if that happens to anyone else...

However, I am very pleased with the shirts!

Thanks guys, I'm looking into this stuff. I think we're having some launch jitters, but we'll have everything smoothed out soon.

Err ....

We're working day and night on a patch to fix the crash bugs a small handful of goojers are experiencing. Nvidia should also have new beta drivers soon which should fix most issues, since they're totally not our fault.

You better give me back all my unlocks! Or I'll boycott! And sign a petition!

Mine came. They look fantastic.

Remember, you can only wear your shirts while logged into the internet. If at any time you lose your connection, your shirt will automatically disappear, reappearing as you left it once you have logged back in.

You mean I would never need to wash it? EVER?

I successfully wore my first shirt yesterday; the controls felt a little muddy at first, but once I got used to it, I was moving all over the place. Luckily, my internet connection was stable so I never had to take it off until I was ready for bed, though I was tempted for 1 more wear.

Really looking forward to trying shirt number two soon. I hear there are a lot of improvements over the first.

This Apparel Rights Management system has really gotten out of control.

I hear the shirt's been cracked. GWJ management are of course claiming you don't get the full experience, but really who cares if your shirt doesn't have a back?

Have you guys seen the nude patch for the shirts?

Hell's creating a new circle specifically for people like you.

If they apply the ARM system to a goodjer version of this little number I'll be interested.

I know we'd all love to see Stan's face on that little number.

Well Bullion, I've got to hand it to you. I know people go to great lengths to get a stable internet connection. But by deciding to wear the GWJ-ARM thong, you've ensured that you have the collected technical expertise of the entire community of Goodjers focused on guaranteeing that you never lose internet connection again!

To get a constant and stable internet connection...I'd consider it.

I do like the idea of being able to

Stan has to be winking, and it needs a catch phrase. "Time to goodj it up" or "Wanna Play?"
