"Snakes On A Plane"

I just got back from it. AWESOME. Most energetic crowd I've ever seen, and that includes Serenity and Fellowship of the Ring, and the Star Wars SE's. People were hoopin' and hollerin' all over. Every line Sammy said for the first twenty minutes got a laugh. Every line.

There were some GREAT human kills, but I would have liked to have seen more great snake kills. People die great in this movie, but people don't kill so well. I wanted to see that kickboxer roundhouse the constrictor, or Sammy rip the mandible off of one of them, or SOMETHING like that.

Overall, not QUITE as awesome as I was imagining, but that would have been asking a lot. Over all, I give it a rating of:

Supah-Ubah!!!

Oh GOD DAMMIT why am I working tomorrow night?

I am hoping to eat out and see this tonight . I sent an e-mail out to my friends titled: "We got Motherf**king Snakes on a Motherf**king Plane....and Dinner Too!" to see who I could rope in. It looks like it may just be myself and my girlfriend though.

Perhaps I as well will purchase some plastic snakes for the occasion

I had a motherf**king snake in my motherf**king garage last night. It scared the hell out of me because I didn't even notice it till I tripped right over it. I've had it with these snakes.

I'm going out to a bar with people from work tonight and then meeting my friends at the theater after that to see this incredibly hyped movie. Can't wait.

Just got back from seeing it and it was motherf**king awesome! I <3 Sam Jackson. All the hype did this justice. Seriously everyone, if you were even the slightest bit curious about this movie, do yourself a favour and go see it. One of the most fun movies I have been to in a long time.

Agreed. I think I'm going to see it again tonight.

Yep, it's AwesFul, and I loved it. Over the top, snake attacking mayhem all around, and Sam Jackson doing what he does best. Nobody can't quite deliver a line like him and it's just amplified in this movie. I'm sure a lot of quotes will be coming out of this movie.

Just saw it and it was fan-motherf*cking-tastic. Crazy snake action and over the top death scenes.. it was beautiful. The only thing that could have made it better was more Sam Jackson. The theatre wasn't packed, but there were a lot more people than I usually see at a matinee. When Jackson yelled out his now famous line everyone burst into applause and started cheering. It was awesome.

want..to spoil...musn't.... spoil... movie...

Spoil what? That there are snakes on the plane?

A couple friends and I are going to go see this drunk on Tuesday evening. We were going to go on Friday but we thought it'd be too risky.

It's not a bad film. I didn't laugh as much as you lot seemed to. I did find it quite frightening, but that's because of the way they depicted the flight, rather than the snakes.

It was good. Two of my friends said it sucked because there was no twist and it was shallow. I stared at them and said, "Dude, read the name of the film."

I also thought it was a lot more bloody than I had thought it would be.

Good film though. The music video at the end featured a hot blonde, too.

That's about all it has going for it (the blonde, that is). Though, the Bon Jovi-ish guy can sing pretty good.

I think a couple of the buttons on her shirt fell off.

This is the best thing ever!
Also Snakes on a Plane was really good. See it. End of story.

I'm attracted to that music video for some reason, and I don't think it's that good of a song.

I caught the rest of the show where John Stewart interviewed The Man about the movie. Great interview.
"So, were you ever worried [due to censors] that this would end up being 'Ferrets on a Minibus'?"

I <3 John Stewart.

The rappy-guy from that video is in a band called Gym Class Heroes, and they rock... a hip-hop band playing ACTUAL INSTRUMENTS. Who'da guessed?

Here's a couple YouTube videos. (Some language probably NSFW.)

Gym Class Heroes:
Papercuts.
New Friend Request. So hilarious.
Cupid's Chokehold. The guy singing the hook on that song is what's his face from Fall Out Boy (they're on the same label). Despite that fact, this is one of my favorite songs of theirs.

The whole band (the aptly named "Cobra Starship.") is actually sort of an internet "super group."

Short Haired Guy: Gabe Saporta from Midtown.
Long Haired Guy: William Beckett from The Academy Is...
Chick: Maja Ivarsson from The Sounds. (THAT VIDEO IS NSFW).
Rappy Guy: Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes.

The song is strangely intoxicating, though not "good." Maybe it's Maja.

I was finally able to go see it yesterday. It was absolutely wonderful! I was happy to see that it unintentionally funny. Sam was "The Man" and the rest of the cast was better than I expected. No stellar performances, but solid for the type of movie it is. The humor is what made it for me. There were a couple of times I was in tears from laughing. I had more fun at this movie than at any of the others I've seen in the theaters this year. If you can't tell, I HIGHLY recommend this film.

I wonder when it will come to my country, by the sound of you guys, I really need to watch this movie with a friend of mine.

According to Wiki, Maja Ivarsson is bisexual. New level of hotness has been reached. Yowza!

Saw it yesterday. Yeah it was awesome.

Life almost imitates art

MANILA (Reuters) - Manila airport officials prevented a real life version of horror flick "Snakes on a Plane" this week when they stopped more than 130 reptiles, including poisonous cobras, from boarding a flight to Bangkok. Dozens of lizards, wearing diapers to conceal the stench of their urine, and 60 snakes concealed in water bottles, were discovered Tuesday inside two suitcases belonging to a Filipino woman, airport officials said.

Security officers noticed something moving when her luggage was being x-rayed. One of the nappy-clad lizards reportedly died due to heat.

Believed to be effective aphrodisiacs and good-luck charms, reptiles, amphibians and other exotic animals have become a popular delicacy and ornament in many parts of Asia.

Last week, Manila airport authorities arrested a Filipino man trying to smuggle three live Siamese crocodiles from Cambodia.

In case anyone didn't know... SoaP was released on motherf**king DVD today. I was a little disappointed they didn't do up a nice Special 'motherf**king' Edition version, but just the regular version seems to have a ton of stuff on it. It probably won't be nearly as entertaining as watching it in a theatre full of people, but I look forward to a second viewing of snake mayhem.
