Help needed for a project I'm working on..

I'm working on getting a Linux based PC that runs 100% web based apps.

Email, Word processing, Photo management, contacts, calendar, IM, file storage, etc..

Then I need a browser that can somehow mush all these applications into some sort of custom start or home page.. either with icons or sections.. something.

I'm getting some ideas myself.. but I'm sure there are Web based apps that I missed or better ways..

Google?

The only things in there that I don't know that Google directly addresses are the Word Processing and the file storage.

Otherwise, you've got
Gmail
Picasa for photo management,
Gmail for contacts
Google Calendar,
Google Chat for IM.

Microsoft is developing a competitive front for google as well: http://ideas.live.com/mainpage.aspx

Other than that, I got nothing.

but point noted.. wont impress board members if during the presentation the start page chugs.. I'll keep looking.

You'll have a tough time finding a web based word processor. If you do find one, though, be sure to let everyone know!

Google is working on a web based word processor, working on converting it to their system anyway.

Writely.

There's also the un-aptly named - gOffice.

Is this something that is completely standalone for each user? Or is it a corporate environment?
