Eventually I'm Going to Wake Up

Section:

I'm switching DSL providers and, according to the new provider, there will be a lag time between the time the old provider takes their "equipment" off my line and the time the new provider can put their "equipment" on my line. That lag time began yesterday. I actually had to bring today's comic into work on a floppy disk. Remember those? I didn't feel right burning a CD with a 30K image, but I don't feel very cool using ancient technology. I guess I need to get one of those hip USB flash memory things. Anyway, I'm without Internet access, or, as we call it in my house, Inty. Being without Inty is like being without electricity for me. Just as I'll walk around flipping on light switches when my power is off, I kept finding myself pulling up a browser to check the weather or something. I finally resigned myself to putting the laptop away for the night and figured I'd cope by playing video games. Let me just fire up the X and see who's playing Live...oh yeah...no Inty...*sigh*.IL Comic

And this time, you even colored it...

Excellent

So am I reading the clock right? Are you in bed at 7?

Have fun without the internet!

A couple days ago, my Wireless Internet antenna iced up and I was down for a day. Boy howdy did that suck. I feel your pain Sway!

I decided to clean the living hell out of my desk inside and out (big L-shaped office desk) and while I did this I moved my computer to another room. I left it unhooked for 3 nights and I really shocked myself by doing this. I missed the computer and being on the internet just a little for that time but not terribly. It started to make me think that I have finally become mature enough to give up a lot of my gaming and surfing when I get married. World of Warcraft will probably have to be passed on

Yeah, I can't live with out it either. Sounds like a good time to catch up with all the chores you've been neglecting like, well, you know... opening the box!

So that's what we have to do to get colored comics around here, make Sway bored enough!

Flux, get grip on yourself man! That's heresy youre talking! Get some pills and garlic soup and sleep it off. You're obviously having a major fever.

Paging Sway! Talk some sense into him! I've personally never had this idea that gaming was an immature hobby so I never really pictured myself growing out of it. It's just something I love do to. If I don't feel like playing I don't but I always know I'll get back around to it eventually. All it takes is the right game to bring all that back out. So don't pass on WoW because you passed on your PC for a few days, maybe you didn't miss your PC because you didn't have any good games to play on it. One taste of a great game and you'll be hooking it up as quick as you can get it to boot

Flux talks a big game, but if he tries that crap, I'll just have him over and show him those big-bootededed elven women running across that lush landscape, and he'll fold like a cheap suit.

I wasn't saying games were immature at all. I was saying that I act immaturely when I play them. Like playing for 8 hours on a Saturday when I should be doing other things (ie clean, workout, eat)

What is this "workout" you talk about?

and what's "clean"-ing?

Ah, well that's a different case all together. Here's the golden rule for that. Are you male and single? Then it's okay. If not, you probably need to clean occasionally to keep from getting beaten up by your SO.

I just connected on dial-up so I could pay a bill before I go on vacation next week.

No Inty and no beer make Sway something something.
