What Do You Think of Gamers With Jobs?

Myself, I would like shares in Gamers With Jobs Inc.

One thing I'd change: my screen name. I made it just after we had our first son, and I was so excited. That was 3 years ago, and the name seems kinda lame now. If there's a way to change that, I'd like to know. Hardware advice would be appreciated too, because I'm an infant when it comes to technology. Also speaking as an infant, I like boobs.

Weren't we able to do that in the past under My Account? I seem to remember adding a space to my name in the summer. I could be insane.

They say the first step is admitting you have a problem. The next is putting down that shotgun.

For the record, I also like boobs.

That is all.

Then thee too have chosen the wrong name.

Nope - Certis

You did that last time I posted that picture. Poop!
Sorry, won't happen again.

That, my friends, is sig-worthy.

Perhaps, but I didn't say exclusively. There is a size limit here: MindBlowingSexWithHotGymnastPlayingXbox360GettingPaidMillions
doesn't fit in a forum name, and there's got to be something in the forum guidlines against "boobies" as a name.

EDIT: Removed the World Peace and High In Amsterdam part so people wouldn't have to scroll.

I like the fact that Gamers With Jobs loads quickly. I used to frequent the forums at www.cgonline.com before they went through the "let's look like IGN!" redesign. Now there's so much Flash and banner fun that it crashes my browser almost as often as IGN or 1UP.
Fast, Flash-free, and friendly! Kudos, I say!

Fix the site so booty's post doesn't force me to horizontal scroll.

Less complaints about horizontal scrolling.

Prevent people from capitalizing the end letters in their name and not the beginning! IT'S JUST PLAIN WRONG!

Alright, I deserve that.

In my defense, KFE are my initials (backwards), and Zero was a song by Smashing Pumpkins that I was into when I first picked an online handle back in 1995 or 1996. The nickname I really wanted to use was just "Zero" but I needed some way to differentiate myself from all the other people with that name, so I just tacked the initials on the end. I can't really remember why I didn't capitalize it (some kind of low self esteem thing, I'm sure), and I kind of wish I had gone by something a little less moody, but at this point I just stick with it for the sake of continuity.

That was probably the most "emo" thing I've ever read

Yeah, I know, it's pretty pathetic. I'm not terribly fond of admitting what a stupid and pointlessly depressed kid I was, but sometimes it is nice to have a little reminder not to get that way again.

heh, that is pretty interesting background story on your nick, zero. Speaking of nicks, at work here, the person that is one "labicule" down away from me has a last name Fletcher. I almost asked him if he is the Fletcher from GWJ :shy:

Good thing I got my sense back fast, and realized that there are many people whose last name is Fletcher, and GWJ's Fletcher has a different last name

Yes yes, I know, I have a quirky personality, and a poorly wired brain.

Also your avatar is rather...ummmm...am I the only person that thinks of Georgia O'Keefe paintings when I see that?

That sounds so wrong.

Or ask about Pyro fanfic.

I'd like to go back to this. It was mentioned in passing, but I think Pyro fanfic should be stickied, or linked on the front page, or given its own forum, or something else great that gives it the praise and recognition it so righteously deserves. It is a shame, nay, a crime that the newer folks haven't been blessed by its celestial light. And we should demand that Reaper write more of it.

Pyro Fanfic was one of the single-most funniest (intended grammatical error) things that I have ever had the pleasure of laying eyes upon. Well, that and the picture of Pyro joyriding with Jesus in his Ferarri....

Oh god, I can't stop laughing.

The tracker (recent posts) needs to show the tech forum.

We also need more meet and greets, along with guests hosts on the radio show.

One of the suburbs of Asheville is named Fletcher, every time I drive by that exit on the interstate I think of GWJ.

I always figured he just misspelled Feltcher1138 when he signed up.

Christ. Now every single post of his will be warped beyond recognition for me.

lol, let me explain, labicule = lab bench + cubicle. We do a lot of hardware and software developement here at work, so we ended up with this opened up cubicle structure at our company.

ROFL

Certis has a new call sign in GRAW:

The Fairy Princess is going in!

I will provide covering fire while the Fairy Princess storms the building.

i like the combination of intelligent social intercourse and immature banter, mixed with nonsensical intelligence by working age and older people. no CAPS LOCK 10 year olds posting, or castrated, homophobic 15 year old racists (XBox Live) who talk sh*t really low so mom and dad wont wake up and tag their pet tarantula.

. the swag isnt bad either.

There is a long, mostly uninteresting story behind my name, which I may (or may not) someday share. Suffice to say, yes there are lots of people out in the world with the name "Fletcher." Please do not harass them all on the off chance that they may be me. I couldn't bear the guilt.

More guests, we are working on. Guest hosts, however, are off the radar for the forseeable future. Certis and I have such a perfect partnership in regards to producing Radio, that I can't quite imagine doing it with anyone else.

Also, having made a change in host already in the course of this show (and on another show I used to work on) I can say with some authority that a change in host impacts almost every aspect of production. The show becomes, in essence, an entirely different show. Seeing as we are producing this show in our extremely limited spare time, reliability and routine are invaluable. Having to adjust to a different person's working style on a weekly basis would make it far more difficult to keep up the weekly pace.
