Lost to the mists of time, a tumult of misbegotten paths for a tangled mass of humanity snarled in the nebulous rigidity of a linear perception, there were ages where the fertile and young species stood on fresh legs and gazed across a world built too large. Bipedal and weak, our awkward branch on the Darwinian tree having selected deftness of thought above the taut agility of physical prowess, we languished in the meager confines of our body and were trapped into finite space upon seemingly infinite plains.
Domestication was a laborious but worthwhile plan that charted millennial efforts by man to tame the beasts, our physical if not mental masters. It would be the holarctic species, Equus ferus caballus, upon whose back the expanse of the world was opened, providing the perfect union between the mind of man and muscle of beast. And lo we migrated in an aching diaspora for reasons unknown across arctic waters frozen to connect continents, and traveled south toward the tempting sun to spread the seed of man across the face of the world.
Which is why I totally love horses!

This board's anti-Excitebotsism has reached a new level of absurdity.
If loving horses is wrong ... I want to be right. PLEASE let me be right.
And man that dog looks like he's having a good time, but that monkey is f*cking into it. This isn't his recreation; this is his life and he knows it in a way I will never know anything.
The soul-crushing release schedule during the summer has finally gotten to Elysium.
For the record, I also love horses.
I've never seen much less played Dynasty Warriors, but my boss from my previous job at a grocery market loved it, so I find myself hating it for no reason beyond my own hatred for my previous boss.
Left GWJ for good.
The one I played was easily one of the most brainless, mind-numbingly bad thing I've ever played.
It is quite literally no joke to say that I would jump to play I Love Horses instead. All it would take is one minigame to mildly amuse me to come out way ahead of a DW game.
Heck, the horses on the box look like they're going for a smooch. That already entertains me more.

The Tomorrow War is also listed as coming out this week. That looks kinda cool in a crazy Russian over-ambitious sort of way.

Zeno Clash comes out this week. Remember we all pre ordered it for $10?? I am still excited about it! It should be game of the week and its not even LISTED!! Feel and fear my fanboi nerd rage!!!

Well Minarchist was no help at all.
He only loves it because it's not "I ♥ Horsez".

I can't believe you passed up Excitebots: Trick Racing. ExciteTrucks which was made by they same company is a great game that's just a blast to play, and was one of the early games on the Wii that got it right. If you have a Wii you should look into it. Judging by the release list I would have thought that picking Excitebots: Trick Racing would be a no brainer.

First of all - absolute best "Week in releases ever". Fantastic.
Second of all - PC!
Zeno Clash and Stalin vs. Martians both release this week. And while I wouldn't change this week's entry one bit, Zeno Clash is a legitimate GOTW contender.

Hi there, I've lurked this site for a fair amount of time now and I am enjoying the podcasts as well. However I finally decided it was time to sign up for an account so I could post a comment about this weeks releases. You see, there was a game left out that I feel deserves recognition. It's called Stalin vs. Martians. If you haven't heard of it, don't feel bad cause neither had I. I came across it on a different gaming site and thought it was a joke, until I went to the website. All I can say is that even though I'm not a big RTS fan, this game makes me wanna play it. So do yourself a favor and go scope the official page. I'll link it for you right here.... http://www.stalinvsmartians.com/en/ . Enjoy, I know I did.
Yeah, well my mom says I'm cool.
I Love Sheep was waaaay better, although for an entirely different crowd. Sold well in Wales and New Zealand though!
Fixed that one for you.
I don't watch, I interact!
Not one, but THREE Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 MASTERPIECES, and you go with PONIES!? You, sir... are DEAD to me!
NOTE: Not a doodle bug.
Hooray, a break! Now I can get back to Sacred 2.

Seconding (thirding?) the opinion that ExciteTruck was a pretty awesome early Wii game and that ExciteBots deserves a look. The only serious problem with the 1st game was the lack of online multiplayer, so I'm hopeful that (absurd "character" design notwithstanding) this one will be a pretty kickass racer.

That game looks like someone threw up numbers all over the screen, did a barrel roll and threw up again.
How did I live before digital distribution of old, cheap games?

This is gold!

Can't imagine why I'm feeling the gaming ennui now. Sheesh.
For the record, I picked up Dynasty Warriors Gundam on sale at Wal-Mart for $10. It defines repetitive gaming and some of the tactics used are so cheap that it is a nightmare trying to complete some of the later levels. This is on EASY mind you. Just ridiculous objectives like trying to protect two objectives on completely different sides of the map or an enemy boss that can wail on your mercilessly despite anything you do to counter while giving you no way to replenish your health. Some of the early levels are good hack 'n slash mindless fun, just don't hope to advance much in the game.
I can't imagine that the sequel will be any better.

What planet are you on in which the sun is ever in the southern part of the sky?

The one that has winter.
I'm not sure where you live, but the sun is consistently in the southern sky during the winter months in Chicago. Ely's even further north, so I'm not surprised.

Hell, technically at every place north of the Tropic of Cancer, the sun appears in the southern half of the sky, even at noon during the summer solstice.
Yeah, I was thinking, "Shouldn't there be a 'z' in there somewhere?"
Certis: Quintin is both smart and attractive.
Fedaykin98: Good lord, I wouldn't have expected brilliance like that from that nemeslut Quintin Stone!
Yonder: It's weird to say this, but Quintin Stone may be the wisest person here.
I had a massive crush on a girl who loved horses... she was fiiiine.
