T.O. gets a T.O. (suspended!)

Suspended for his comments about the team ... couldn't happen to a more deserving guy!

But...but he said he was sorry. Ha, ha!

Linky above.

plus it says indefinitely!

T.O. meet Keyshawn. Good luck next year!

plus it says indefinitely!

Does "indefinitely" mean "until he heals up"?

I believe "indefinitely" is French for "Don't call us, we'll call you."

His suspension can't be for more than 4 games by the contract with the players association.

That may be true, but it's up to Coach Reid whether he ever plays again. Supposedly after the whole preseason mess, T.O. and Reid had an agreement where this sort of thing would never happen again. I guess Owens' last bridge has been burned.

Nov 6 Mark Eckel, of the Trenton Times, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens had a fistfight with former defensive end and current team ambassador Hugh Douglas. The fight occurred in front of several of his teammates. According to one of the sources the Owens-Douglas fight "was like WWE Smackdown." Another source said both men threw at least two punches during the altercation and when it was over Owens challenged QB Donovan McNabb first and then everyone else in the room saying, "You want some. Anyone else want some." The Eagles refused to comment about the situation, other than the statement that revealed Owens' suspension. Owens and Douglas have been at odds since training camp and almost got into an altercation in an elevator at Lehigh University.

Oh, I bet he'll be pine surfing for a while.

Several reliable sources are confirming this story today... its really incredible how far this has come.. honestly its a shame because T.O. could have had a nice end of his career in Philly and I think both sides would have benefited from the relationship working.. now he's cost himself millions of dollars and who knows where he'll end up next year..

Though I guess a few years from now he'll sell a ton of books...

edit

wtf?? CBS says that TO is not suspended but inactive for tonights game?

so bizzare..

Wait, Hugh Douglas did something that involves physical effort?

I didn't think that pile of slop had the ability to move anymore.

Yeah. It's just to give them more time to determine exactly what to do.

The Bucs dealt with Keyshawn by just making him inactive every game for the rest of that season. So this isn't necessarily an indication of a "softer" penalty. They may just do a similar de facto suspension.

your still bitter about his "time" in Jacksonville.. lol!

Oh no, he meant "pile of slop" in its most flattering and positive sense.

team ambassador

That sounds like a cushy job, where do I sign up?

Like he did anything but eat and talk when he got back into Philly?

I think he was on the field for like 10 plays last year... lol..

He's a great ambassador though.. I mean..he got to do what pretty much everyone on the team wanted to do and thats punch TO..

He's a very personable guy, someone people like to have around. So I'm not surprised that he plays the "ambassador" role well.

Still was a lazy pile of slop.

Anyway, why is your team letting the old castoff Jag QB play them like that?

OK, well they did something about it right before the end of the half.

Let's see how it goes for the rest of the game.

EDIT: What the hell was that, Donovan? Just spike the damn thing, don't get cute.

I heard this morning that the players are talking about filing another grievance with the NFL which may suspend him from playing anywhere for a year since it would be the second time in a season. That'd be really fitting for him.

I think they can't suspend him without pay for more than 4 games, but they can certainly inactivate/bench him for the rest, would just have to pay him his $200,000 game check. From what I saw last night, he was just inactivated, not suspended and earlier this week they asked for three things - an apology to the organization, to the team and to McNabb. He only "apologized" to the organization so he got inactivated. Supposed to meet with Reid this week and figure out what's next.

In other news, the no-talking non-showboating Brian Westbrook got a contract extension yesterday for 5 years and $25 million. Take that TO!

Well I do not know if TO being there would have changed the results of the game but it was certainly a boon for the Skins.

Thought that games was rather exciting and Skins got a lot of breaks with ball bounces.

Both teams were dumb at the end of the first half. On 3rd in 2 well inside field goal range the Skins go for a pass play when a run would have been better and then Eagles try to do a fake spike but rest of team not really up on the plan. Both moves cost each team 3 points and possible more.

Anyway, why is your team letting the old castoff Jag QB play them like that?

I dunno...after last nights game and the week I had in my personal life I think all the good karma I keep trying to add isnt worth a damn.. I may start just being an asshole perhaps that way things will turn around..

Eagles have so many problems its hard to imagine that this is the same team that went to 4 straight NFC Champ games..

Every facet of their game seems completely worthless.. and every player is playing not even close to how they used to play..

At this point I'm not so sure even about Andy Reid anymore.. this is the first season their offseason moves really game back to bite them big time.. before even their questionable moves seemed to work out for the most part..

I really wonder if Andy Reid is a good coach or just had good timing.. I'm not even buying that McNabb is that injured.. I think he's just regressed big time.

I like their fundamental strategy of stressing the O-Line and the D-Line because I believe that makes everything else on both sides of the ball work.. its just that they've completely failed in getting the players there..

Seems odd.

Rumor has it (from a supposedly reliable source) that TO is going down to Atlanta for good.. thats it folks the show is over.

His house is up for sale in NJ and his locker is empty.

Hugh Douglas was on the radio this morning.. sorta echoing my feelings on this whole fiasco.. its now to the point that he feels sorry for TO.. that its more evident then ever that he needs to be on medication and that he's got something wrong with him that goes beyond just being a jerk.

Cant wait for the book!

Disney buys the rights and makes "Miracle on Grass: Thank God He's Gone!"

And let's see, he'll get put on waivers, where the worst two teams can claim him, one being the Texans, the other being the Packers. And just last week he mentioned "if Brett Favre was quarterback". Hmm....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I dont think he's getting waived...just inactivated for the rest of the year..

aka paycheck for the year for silence for the year.

But in this ridiculous soap opera who knows what happens next week...or even this week.

Yeah, that could happen. I assumed the Eagles would want to save his salary after the four games and waive him, rather than just inactivate and pay him for the rest of the year.

as a falcons fan...all I have to say is

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

TO and Vick.. man I'd love to see that relationship... even if they were 10-0 with Vick throwing the ball 15 times a game and that running attack TO would go apesh*t.
