Kim Jonsson is playing in Sweden this year. He's an excellent powerplay guy but won't play a single game in the NHL. Anyone who has a player listed as NA should get rid of them immediately.

You got Naslund and Jovanovski. Of course you're happy.

Deffinately, but Jovo is sort of a wildcard. I'm happy I got the likes of Zidlicky (53 points last year and he's on a much better Nashville team), Leetch (may be old but is on a strong Boston team), Richards (had a great year last year and should improve on that), and Doan, Murray, and Havlat round out some great picks. Plus, I got Ryder (he should have a great year and could easily replace Langkow if he happens to go down with an injury or has a poor year) and Nabokov (one of the best goalies in the league and has a solid team in front of him).

Adam Foote's numbers will drop significantly since he's playing on a much worse team and won't have Sakic, Forsberg, Hejduk, Tanguay, and Blake to help his offensive numbers. I'm hoping to pick up Legwand and McLaren for Yzerman and Poti.

I'm rolling the dice on Kovalchuk. He's in Atlanta this week.

So how does the lineup work? Do we move players in and out on a daily basis? Or is it weekly? Or what?

Yeah, I expect Kovalchuk to sign before the season starts. The temptation of having Holik and Hossa will be too much to resist.

yeah move them in and out on a daily basis... you can set lienups in advance and I recondmend being a few days ahead because thing happen. You can trade and pickup free agents and wavers kick in when another player drops someone.

Only thing to pay attention to is games played at position. (For each position on your team that earns points they can have a player play 82 games)
It becomes a big factor down the strech. Sometimes if a player is sucking it's better to bench him for a few games.

So everyone is OK with Bench sizes?

Like I said before, this is a first time for most of us, so I am willing to treat it as a trial season and make changes while trying to keep it competitive and of course have fun. And, we'll all be here next year right? Right? What are you looking at me like that for? I'm not that old. And I have cut back on the bacon fat sammiches....

I have Boynton as NA, but it is a contract thing, whic I am hoping gets settled soon, so I'll hold onto him.

TRADE NEWS - Who picked up Raycroft? Any interest in a trade?

Yeah I'm cool with the setup... I'm alway up for hockey leagues should be fun.

ignore my friends if they start trash talking each other. It's their yearly ritual.

Cool, can't wait. How do I get in?

Call Mr. Peebody and reserve some time with the wayback machine?

OK, I just checked and I can't change the # of Bench slots after the first puck drops, so I added 3.

From the Newest Commissioner's note:

New 5/5/05 - Afternoon - Adding bench spots can only be done before 1st puck drop. So as not to take unfar advantage of the fact that I just added spots I will not fill my newly created empty spots until Friday night.

That is always welcome.

Just tell them not to "double dog dare" the admins.

So when are *we* free to make use of the new spots?

Everyone but Californians can go now. Californians can go Thursday night. I'll go Friday night.

Ha! It's a waiver system that won't process until Friday ANYWAY, so THERE!

I noticed that. I've already tried to add and exchange a few players. I'm still not 100% sure on how this works but I'll have it figured out soon enough.

Dude U have some serious issues to go as far as banning someone for using a short format for typing and adding a few xtra .......'s. Seriuosly U need to lighten up. I apologize to all the league commish's for not being able to respond to the boards but u can reach me through the Espn boards or my Aim..Take care and beware of the Comunist attitude that a certain individual has.
AKA...Kingcohiba

I'm going to leave that post and the account, mainly because it amuses me and it's very affirming.

And just for the sake of being as clear as possible:

4) You Must Attempt to Follow English Standard - This is not a rule meant to squelch the voices of those who do not use English as a first language, but to remove those for whom English is their primary language but can not be bothered to form coherent sentences. We won't ban you if you choose to haphazardly split infinitives, but the basic conventions of the language are a requirement, I think, for intelligent discussion. That means employing punctuation, capitalization, sentences, paragraphs, subjects/verbs, and the recognized and proper use of alpha/numeric characters (meaning W is not \/\/). Elite speak, except in the most ironic of circumstances, is forbidden, and internet acronyms like LOL, WTF, and AFAIK are to be used at a minimum.

Next time you join a community, feel free to read their rules first. It's a damn shame too, I'm told you're a good guy to play with.

Shouldn't that be "certisizatul!!!11lol"?

Take care and beware of the Comunist attitude that a certain individual has.

I don't think you realize what a communist attitude is...also Certis enforces the rules that, although he and Elysium created, everyone agrees with and accepts.

I'm feeling pretty disillusioned. I thought all you Canadians got along great. I thought it was all just like one big club that I couldn't join.

And for the Record, as much as I like playing sports games with you Cohiba, you were WARNED for the typing. You were banned for calling out the owner of the (free) site.

It's like walking into a restaurant and telling the owner his food tastes like sh*t and then trying to place an order.

Yes us Canadians are in a very exclusive club... but we can still have our "special" memebers.

Anyone else not getting points for their goalies?

Me.
