I wasn't snapping at him. I didn't even think it of it as a "personal" comment.

What, was this over the use of the word "damn"? That makes it hostile?

Do you not read what I usually write?

Do you not read what I usually write?

Maybe that's the problem

I didn't think it was personal at all, it's just Certis wrote a little joke and you replied with "oh yeah, well I don't want to play long games anyway, that sucks, what you said sucks, mods suck, PCs suck, ...". It seemed like the opportune moment to give you a quick poke in the ribs.

Oh it's ok then, as long as you're consistent ...

That avatar is awesome Pyro. Your doggie?

Oh and about the topic well.... yeah, Legion has a small peepee.

Oh yeah, your avatar inspired me. We need more dog avatars.

Duly Noted.

Your search function sucks.

That sucks, what you said sucks, mods suck, PCs suck, Patriots suck, Flutie sucks.

Flutie sucks.

You just had to take it one step too far, didn't you? You had to bring Flutie into it. Know this right now, you asked for it.

Would you like some Flutie-flakes to go with the glass of shut the hell up Certis just gave you?

Certis, you slacker. You didn't even bother to change my avatar icon. Here, let me do it for you... always cleaning up your half-assed mess....

Ha! Classic!

I vote this thread of the week.

Man, when you commit to a joke, you commit to a joke.

The mods really did bring a lot more enjoyment to Morrowind. And as for the video card, I'll stick with my ATI 9600 Pro. You know, every time a new game comes out, there are throngs of gamers shouting how it will require a $400 video card to play. It ain't ever true.

Don't never say ain't ever, bub. There are several games, as a matter of fact, that I'd have to buy a new vid card to play.

Battlefield 2 anyone?

Battlefield 2 anyone?

Still playing on my 9800Pro.
I remember when JO came out, I could play ok on my Geforce 3, but needed a bit more, so I upgraded.
Doom3 (demo), fine on 9800. Is there a HL2 demo? I'll try that, too.

The thing is, if you want to run native resolution on your LCD, or want AA/AF, or want hyperdynamic megaultratriplerenderingpass shadows on the blades of grass, yeah, you want a new card, but you don't really need one. BF2 did draw a line where certain cards were too old, but that's not the same thing as needing a new card just to play it. One is individual, one is a blanket statement covering everyone.

I just realized Legion's "Head Coach" has an obscene double meaning *giggle*

Sure, I can believe that. But a $400 one? That all depends on how much eye candy you demand from a game at 1600x1200. Still, 'requires'? I ran the demo for FEAR and BF2 on my machine without a hitch, and 9600 Pro is not a $400 card. All I'm saying is that too many gamers get caught up in the hype and bleeding edge hardware and tend to exaggerate things too much.

Well...there comes a point when you'll be seeing a noticable difference in the quality of the image/resolution on your PC vs the same title running on an Xbox 360.

With a 9600/9800 Pro that time will be Oblivion. Now whether that prompts you to upgrade your PC or buy an Xbox 360 is a whole different matter.

But up to now your 9600 blew away anything a console could do on the market.
