How do you say 'GWJ'?

I usually say "Gee Doubleyew Jay", being very careful not to use the shortcut "Dubya". Much as one does not refer to the guitarist as Carlos Satana.

Wow, that's a lot of people looking for advice on shaving their package.

What about:

Certis-ites
Certans
Certis' Cervants
Cert-itudes
?

I usually say Gwidge

I usually just say 'The Gamers.' Most people that I talk to about gaming know about this board.

I am proposing a Gee-Dub-To-the-Jizzle variant.

Although we maybe could shuffle the letters around to produce an acronym with a better punch.

JGW -- Jay-Gee-Doubleyou -- Jobless Gamecube Whores?
GJW -- Gee-Jay-Doubleyou -- Good Job Wasted?

I am in a somewhat misanthropic mood today. 6 people have resigned from my group here.

I tend to just refer to it as "The Site" and anyone who matters knows what I'm talking about

I'm sorry, what site you talkin' bout?

You know, Rezzy... in that picture, you look just angry and freaked out enough to be my father. Please tell me you aren't.

Gee Dub Jay (West Coast style)
Gee Dub to the mother-effin Jay (West Coast Pimp style)
Ga Wi Jo (Greedo-speak style)
Gama Wiji Jojo (Jar Jar Binks style)
Gamma Whiskey Juliet (Military style)

Goodjer sounds like a form of VD.

"I'm sorry, but you have Goodjer."
"Whaa? But... but..."
"There is no cure, but with medication you can control the outbreaks."

Jee Dubyu Jay

Yes, you see, that's the beauty of it.

Ah, you're trying to keep new people away from the site! That's what I was missing before.

I fixed that typo for you.

Technically it depends on which military. Different branches have different alphabets.
B is Bravo in some and Baker in others, for example.

Negative, Ghost Rider. All US branches use the same phonetic alphabet. Wouldn't work too well if a Marine foward air controller couldn't pass airstrike coordinates to an Army Apache because they were using different phonetic alphabets, huh?

You thinking of the WWII movie stuff. A was Able, B was Baker and so on. They changed that in the 50s (I think). Now it's alpha, bravo etc etc.

True as that may be (that there are variations, not the foolishness about "[d]ifferent branches have different alphabets." ;)), can you show me a variation that uses "Gamma" for "G"?

I've personally never heard 'Gamma' for G. Maybe at the Battle of Marathon they had a phonetic alphabet going on

Um....I don't talk to people about me frequenting this site.

Like that YATTA! thing, I sent links to some folks and said please don't ask me where I saw this...please don't.

First that, then Taco telling me to donkey punch my 3 year old, now Sanjuro's....never mind....just go on about your goodgering or whatever it is you people do here to each other. Probably involves Nair on the....nevermind.

Are you implying that I've boned your mom?

I pronounce it in my head as "gwidge," but always use the entire site name in conversation. I used to call you all Gwidgens, which made me think of Wu in Deadwood saying "Swidgen!," so now I just call you all "C**cks**kers!"

I'm assuming I will never live that one down will I?

Oh man, I think that one absolutely takes the cake.

I like "Geejaw," like some oldtimer talking about "doodads, thiggamabobs, and geejaws."

Oh Lord I think I just hurt myself laughing. I think I did just bust my gut - one should not giggle in the Pentagon - it just isnt acceptable :). Oh and I follow Gorilla's urban spin by calling it the GW to Jschnizzle.

I know you don't have your finger on the "button" Spy, but when I think of this I envision you reading that line, start laughing uncontrollably, coke shooting through your nose and you accidently flipping a switch in the Pentagon and unleashing half a dozen nukes at some unsuspecting fishing community island in the middle of the Atlantic.

Goodger is one of the worst made up internet words since blogsphere.

Well, balls. It's sure to catch on then.

Haha, Gwidgens makes me think of the f'ing hoopleheads... PERFECT!

Edit: Double post and I like the second post better. Try and figure out which word I changed!

Taco telling me to donkey punch my 3 year old

Ohhh, that was you he told. I was thinking of that today.

I just call it GWJ or don't talk about it.

All US branches use the same phonetic alphabet.

Ah, but I have this sneaking suspicion that Mix is really a spy from Canada. He likes hockey, and...umm...well that about sums it up but that's all there is to being Canadian.
