I just realized that, by far, the best outcome for this postseason is for the Cleveland Baseball Team to get to the World Series only to get the shit beat out of them by Francisco Lindor.

I object very strongly to calling a Mutts victory "best" in any situation.

As a Twins fan, the remaining AL teams are almost the worst case scenario. Only the White Sox instead of the Royals would be worse. I couldn't care less about the NL teams. All of their fanbases are annoying.

So, the best way for me to enjoy this World Series is for one of the AL teams to lose in the most humiliating way possibly. That would be the Cleveland team getting destroyed by their most popular player since the '90s that they traded away to save money.

Cole looks pretty locked in tonight.

Clutch Giancarlo. Sure, whatever!

Nice outing by Yamamoto, and LA avoids the slander.

I mean, anything less than a WS win, they're gonna get slandered, but they've avoided it for now.

Fantastically, the Dodgers will be the team with the smaller payroll.

New Yorkers may just want to call it an early night at this point.

So, I once accused the NBA of preferring a New York team to a regional midwestern team. Even to the point that is the referees had a chance to put their thumbs on the scale of the game and influence the outcome for that NY team they may do that and perhaps had been instructed to. Thankfully, I am sure MLB had more integrity and values honest competition over ratings or storylines.

This is a wild. Dodgers vs. Mets in a NL Championship Series and it’s tied 1-1? This was definitely not on my bingo card this season

6 more wins please.

Looks like the Rays won't have a home in 2025 due to the devastation from the hurricane.

Here in the Bay Area, I know of an empty stadium... make it happen!

That would be an odd turn of events seeing as the Giants nearly moved to Tampa Bay many years ago.

Which stadium has worse facilities right now? The Trop or the Coliseum?

I might shade it for the Trop.

Even if they could play without the dome it rains so damn much in Tampa in the summer they'd never get more than 50 of they're 80-ish home games played

I'm not looking it up but I'm pretty sure it was the Mariners and White Sox that almost went to TB before they finally got an expansion.

The Giants were practically out the door to Tampa and the final home game of that season had a lot of terrified and sad fans at the 'Stick. One of those fans who ended up on the front of the SF Chronicle's sports section the following day? Brandon Crawford. But a new ownership group showed up at the 11th hour and kept the team in San Francisco.

LA with another wholesale ass-whipping, I see.

Wow! Ohtani with seventeen hits in his last 20 at-bats with runners in scoring position. Pretty impressive to say the least.

GIANCARLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I had no idea, but the Yanks genuinely have Clase's number:

He's coughed up the lead in 5 of his last 9 outings against NY.

EDIT:

Entering tonight, Emmanuel Clase had NEVER allowed multiple home runs in a game

He just allowed back-to-back home runs in game 3 of the ALCS

missing first base would have been a very Yankees thing to do.

The Shohei thing has gotten stupid. I'm saying it.

Ah petunias.

EDIT: He got ALL of that too.

Free Baseball!

JHONKENSEY!

Edit: Small ball, what is this, the National League!?

FRYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a game!

What a f*cking game, honestly.

That's one it really sucks to lose, but we got a series!

The Mets pitched to Shohei once. He homered.

They've walked him the next three times he's come to the plate, and Shohei has scored a run every single time.
