Thanks for the kind comments, folks.
I love magitech settings. They tend to make major locations unique with how much then blend tech and magic.
Arcane is a good example of this.
Not really relevant, but my brother got me Tactical Breach Wizards last week, and that definitely has an amusing blend of tech and magic. Maybe the sorceress in my drawing has just been defenestrated?! (Though she'd probably look considerably more annoyed if that had happened.)
It's not been quite a week, but I've already ended up drawing yet another character portrait.
I really need a project that brings all these horned devil/elf/tiefling ladies together somehow.
Super awesome, Ravanon! Love everything about the drawing!
Nice Klaus sketch Mario.
Yes, that’s fantastic Ravanon. Great colour and love the light beam.
That's really, really, really good, Ravanon. Love everything about it

They're in a band on tour of whatever magi-tech realm you like. Put them on the tour wagon, on stage, in the green room, after party, signing autographs, punching nazis, etc. Josie and the Demiurges.

Love all those suggestions, guys. Too funny!
I had a meeting today, I grabbed my blue ball-point pen, and I drew:
I had a blast.
Nice no nonsense Dwarf Mario
Horny Horned Horners? @ravanon
This took me way too long, started about a week ago but with all the hoopla going on I wasn't feeling it, was able to see it through today, photo came out too light but I didn't want to go too hard on the 6b as It tends to ruin the smooth feel I try to recreate (like the young rossellini was ruined/diminished before).
Still, just a sketch, but I'm happy with achieving a nice resemblance.
Fantastic Mario. He is a non nonsense dwarf. I do enjoy a good doodle. I should phone chatty people just so I can sit and scribble. Some how it doesn’t seem right to doodle if you aren’t supposed to be focusing on something else.
It’s very good Feeank. The facial features look extremely accurate.
I had a wonderful stay in a hotel in Ireland recently. It’s own by a sister of an Australian friend and her husband. I wanted to do a painting for them to say thanks but wanted it to feel modern and fresh. Their taste is intimidatingly refined.
This is it. Based on the hydrangeas that smartly line the long drive to the hotel.
There is something magical about watercolor leaves. Whether it is colored, shaded or just line drawn, the results leap off the page to me
Thank you, Feeank and Higgledy! The portrait and the flowers are really cool too! Both portraits and flowers are very difficult to get right, so good job!
Artgerm just posted his list of prompts for October:
I know 14 characters! (All 10 from the "Comics" category, 2 from "Anime," and 2 from "Games.")
Are we using it?
I think I like the classic word prompt ones. I have to be really into a character to do a drawing of them. It’s great that we get varied lists that appeal to different people.
That is absolutely true.
Edit: I am finally reading the Rogue One Visual Guide I bought a couple of months ago, and I'm remembering all the cool aliens I want to draw. I might bail on Artgerm's prompts and draw Star Wars characters instead. We'll see...
I might reserve the right to jump to another list for the day if there’s a character I fancy doing.
I really like your sketch, Feeank, and the way you capture likenesses in your pencil work.
Higgledy's watercolours are really nice too.
And Mario's dwarf; I don't really get to doodle in meetings and calls anymore, so my skills with a biro have probably atrophied considerably.
I've seen Artgerm's list this year; I actually recognise more characters by name than usual. I'll probably do this list again, though I'm always a bit wary about committing to a lot of drawing up until the day I just decide to do it anyway.

Oddly enough, I think part of why I like the Arttrober list is because I don't know half the characters and only bother looking them up the evening before. It sometimes leads to exclamations like "I have to draw what now?!", but it usually works out alright.
Meeting sketch!
I should have more meetings!
I did a session using Brusho (a kind of crystalline, granular paint activated by water) with today’s art group. They had a lot of fun. It’s wild, barely controllable stuff.
That sounds like a lot of fun!
It was. Lots of experimentation!
I’ve done a revised version of my Assassin’s Creed: Shadows painting based on the kanji for shadow.
Edit: I tweeked it a little.
Sweet looking kanji!
I’m glad it worked with my idea. There are some incredible oriental/calagraphic brushes in Procreate.
Love the concept! Very striking image.
I’ve done a painting of my favourite detective.
That’s right. It’s Hercule Poirot.
Thats not Poirot! That’s Sherlock Holmes!
Really, really, good!
Now I'm imagining a wacky mid-80s movie about several famous detectives working together to solve a case, like Murder By Death - except the schtick is that Poirot is played by Peter Falk, Colombo is played by Jeremy Brett, etc. Sherlock Holmes is played by Angela Lansbury, and Miss Marple is.. maybe also Peter Falk? I'm still workshopping this.
That looks great, Higgledy! I loved Magnum as well!
