I colored Amanaman!
He’s a weird dude.
I would have put good money on you having made that chap up but apparently not!
Hahaha. No, he's "real"... and extremely weird!
No weird enough to sport a yellow comb over ;P
More progress. That hand under the open book is sooooo wrong.
I’m also populating the bookshelves. The writing is on a separate layer so I can change the titles if I think of better ones.
I'd play that game!
Another Shadow of the Erdtree npc. This time Needle Knight Leda.
Edit: I think I’m just about there with the Ansbach painting. There are one or two empty book spines but I won’t rush to fill them.
Very cool! And that hand is looking WAY better!

It is! I may still tweek the colour but it's in the ballpark of human.
it's in the ballpark of human.

:D
So often that's all you can ask for with hands. It's amazing how difficult it can be to draw five noodly tendrils sticking out of the spade of the human palm and have it not immediately go careening into the uncanny valley.
More headshot practice, trying to draw the same character with different facial expressions and poses:
Kind of fun, and there's a speed increase as I work out my 'process' for redrawing a character with the same hair, outfit, etc., but still a bit more time-consuming than I'd like, even when skipping shadows and highlight effects.
Also, working out where the horns ought to be for different tilts of the head is a pain.
They all look great!
They do. I especially like centre right. Great colour scheme.
I am drawn to the center left one because of the extended jaw. Many times artists forget that the mouth is half jaw or fail to realize that the jaw can move left/right as well as open shut. Kudos Rav!
Also of note is the extended and curved neck in that depiction.
Thanks all.

Yeah, I've been paying more attention to the mouth/jaw area recently, not just 'painting on' the mouth after drawing the usual pinched oval of the face. I was actually worried when working on that centre-left drawing that the whole shape of the head looked horribly contorted, but that was probably my treacherous brain exaggerating the effect.
These are all amazing Ravanon, she's a lovely elf devil
Much better book holding hand Higgledy, thou I like the outdoor scene better
These are from last couple of days, not much effort in them all in all as I can't really focus much on anything with current political situation and some annoying health issues, still, I like both scenes quite a bit. First one is based on a picture by Cara's founder when she used to compete in olympic shooting or some such, It's such a gorgeous, simple shot.
Second one is recreating a picture of dear HP with his wife, there are rare images of Lovecraft having "fun", I think this one is notable in that, although I couldn't quite capture his exact expression, as the original photo is quite degraded, I did capture hers and its apparent that she knows how much he seems to be embarrassed by being photographed and is having a great time making him break for the camera. I love happy Lovecraft.
Great sense of focus in the first drawing. An image of Lovecraft looking happy is rare indeed. He seems to have resting glum face (much as I relish his stories.)
I’ve done a painting of a tree kangaroo. I originally put him in a gum tree (it was an extremely well rendered gum tree, if I do say so myself) but after a bit of belated research I found that this particular species inhabits small part of the cloud forest in Papua New Guinea. Still, I’m pleased with my out of focus foliage and it fits with the animals elusive nature.
Tree kangaroo? Now I have seen it all
I only learnt of their existence whilst wandering around an Australian Zoo many years ago.
The species I saw back then was Goodfellow’s tree kangaroo (below.) The one above is Matschie's tree-kangaroo.
Great job, both Feeank and Higgledy!
Despite my love for horror, I've never read anything by Lovecraft. And despite my love for animals, I didn't even know tree kangaroos existed!
Another tree kangaroo. Glad I kept that gumtree painting.
Edit: I’ve updated the painting, adjusting the back stripes.
Very cool... and awesome tree!
Add me to the list of folk who didn't know about tree kangaroos.
Another drawing, produced when I should have been working on something else:
Nothing much to add, though I did try something a bit different with the background—though the city skyline is probably more futuristic-looking than the character in the foreground would suggest was appropriate. Oh well.
I really like the background and it being more futuristic than the character really suggests there’s a deeper story there.
I love magitech settings. They tend to make major locations unique with how much then blend tech and magic.
Arcane is a good example of this.
Love it! The city reminded me of the cover of The Lies of Locke Lamora, for some reason.
Here's a quick ball-point pen sketch of Doctor Aphra, whose comic series I've been reading for a while:
Nice!
Thanks!
Here's a quick sketch of the main character in Klaus, the game I'm currently playing:
