Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr (Catch All)

Welp, looks like they're easing the game into retirement. The current season will be the last one, and then we'll get a "seasonal journey" in which all previous seasons will be made available. This will eventually lead to the offline mode they discussed earlier.

Both excited and sad, but the amount of support this game has gotten has been tremendous.

I am glad they are at least setting up for an offline mode. As sad as the news may be it is much better than just pulling the plug one day.

This is from a Neocore employee on the game’s Discord, and it’s pretty encouraging!

That Battle Sisters available on console yet?

Yup, sure is.

Cool. Just reinstalled.

I am 84 with my Druid now in Diablo iv and feeling the grind. My fire sorceress is level 10 and I'd like to get her up/running but the flame attacks aren't... flamethrower attacks and don't feel as visceral as in Inquisitor.

Time to start a Battle Sister!

YESSS ALL THE MURDER FIRE PUDDLES!

The battle sister with the hand flamer and rod is my favorite class/weapon combo in any ARPG. OMG. Enjoy!

Path of Exile 2 comes out in June. Just sayin'. And Grim Dawn shows no sign of stopping, even if the updates are slow.

...and?

I don’t support Tencent, so no PoE for me.

Hey is there a Tycho the Mad around here? They've applied to the Cabal.

Yes he is a long time GWJer.

Ah got it, thank you.

Tencent has not messed with Path of Exile in the five years they have held a controlling share, and it has not become pay-to-win. They have also invested in Paradox, Activision-Blizzard, League of Legends, Frontier Dev UK, Ubisoft, Fortnite, Riot Games and more, so... That's a lot to avoid.

I just stay away from pay to win games. I suspect Tencent is in it for the money. PoE has made tons with their model, so I understand they just do their own thing and write the checks to Daddy.

I mean that's nice and all, but why bring it up here? Game isn't going anywhere.

Sorry. I guess that fell flat.

Seasonal journey is here, and a new DLC later this year!

Yay!

So they are turning this into an offline action RPG? I love it. It's already chock full of goodness, but with selectable seasons and a good group of classes, it will have long-lasting appeal. Very happy to see this.

They have an offline mode planned but we don't know when. It might happen when consoles get their seasonal journey.

I just hope this all is paving the way for Martyr 2.

Any opinions on which previous season(s) was the most overpowered and/or most fun?

I'm being told seasons 3 and 5 are the best/most fun. Haven't tried them yet.

Purchased Sisters.

Started with a flamer sister.

I've got 100+ hours into Diablo 4 since September and I've played ONE mission with Sister Sabathaina and her flame mace and I had forgotten how much fun this was:

Movable camera
Enemies that melt from the heat
Great music
I can transform with f*cking angel wings?!

"Pass the flamer, Sister. No, the HEAVY flamer!"

Fire sister is my favorite, especially with the Hand Flamer and Rod. Fire Blast knocks them back, knocks them down, and then melts their faces.

Definitive edition on sale y'all. Whole shebang for $13.

Ooh, and a new character class later on!

Yarp!

Nice!

Whoa, the Hierophant can control an entire squad? They're going straight OP for their swan song DLC class.

Works for me. Game is all about the power fantasy, so why not lean further into it?
