MLB 2023 Season - The Winter Stove of Warmth

What I learned from this video was that when the Braves were down to their last out, but had the go-ahead run at the plate, they chose as their pinch hitter a guy whose career playoff line was 0 for 3, 3 Ks.

Of course that entire 0 for 3 line came last year, against the Phillies.

“F*ck the Bravos, and whoever the f*ck we play next, and always the Mets”

They are deeply, almost endearingly Philly.

D-Backs, please beat them by a billion runs.

Gotta love that Atta Boy Harper shirt.

I am also in agreement with their policy toward the mets.

Reports from the stadium were that because the game changed from a 6pm start to an 8pm start it just meant 2 extra hours of drinking.

My team is out (CLE), my in-laws team is out (Pitt), and everyone I thought was good is out. Who or what should I for?

Not Houston?

F cheaters

Chaos.

That's two Home L's for the Astros. Iiiiiiiiinteresting.

Why couldn't Bochy's playoff runs with the Giants be this smooth?

That 9th definitely hurt. Ouch.

Yeah, thanks for that.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Edit: Phils have a history with our closers in the playoffs.

I wonder if Brad Lidge is busy.

Altuve, man.

Every Yankees fan saw that thing coming.

I loved seeing the Rangers get out of a bases loaded jam and then Houston giving up (albeit, an unnecessary) grand slam tonight.

C'Mon, Phils. One more win. Please.

I was quite pleased to see the ALCS go to 7 games.

I am far less pleased about the NLCS doing so. Bah.

While I want Texas to win, I hope they get swept in the WC. Chapman has done 0 things to deserve one championship, let alone two.

As good as Houston was this year, their home record makes no sense.

Phillies have been around since 1883.

This is their first Game 7 ever.

Bah indeed.

Phils' bats went cold just like in the WS last year. After the torrid start, we went down not with a bang but with a wimper.

Go team-not-from-Texas I guess.

It was a good run, Phils. Two decisive games at home are not the time to forget what the wooden sticks are for. I was expecting Marsh to put a triple in the right corner, then Cave to single him in, then Schwarber sending one deep (or IW and Turner doing it).

Can't even choose who to root for. Normally, I'd root for the NL (except the Braves) but the Rangers took out the Cheatstros. And the Rangers are kind of the home team in this area.

Oh, well. Go EAGLES! Go FLYERS! Go SIXERS! Go whatever that soccer team was from last year!

The Union made the playoffs! They play New England on Saturday!

Oh, Arizona is TROLLING-trolling Philly.

Welp, if you talk it, you gotta take it.

The random championship generator gave us Arizona and Texas. (Flips coin). Arizona D-Backs will win!

Free baseball!

Wish it had ended in the 9th but oh well

Adolis is having a helluva postseason, eh?

Taco Bell needs to rethink their free taco for a stolen base in the World Series promotion. And whoever's donating money for every walk-off game this season's probably going to have to rethink that, too.
