Forza Car Club

Well, that was a pretty goofy move, man I will be happy to invite you again, but if you mess it up this time, things might not work out as well.

Thanks man. I was in such a hurry to get in and get folks invited and then get out...I really got out:)

I joined up last night. I have come to the realization that I'm truly not very good at the game yet. Seriously, if it weren't for the trees and walls on some of the tracks, I wouldn't have anything to repeatedly run into while trying to brake for a turn:)

No early evening Forza for anyone today eh?

Ah well. More time to earn cars before I get owned on the track by the lot of you I suppose

I'm still at work, Cab.

I'm still at work too. I hope to be on later (2000/8pmPST). I'm trying to get to another car in the D Class races, but the default is a pig of a Lancia and I feel like a street cleaner ...lol. Hopefully we can race some over the weekend too.

I'm home for the evening, so if anybody wants to play some Forza shoot me an invite!

Good racin with ya Donan!

Just FYI, the rest of the players were the bunch from over at Consolegold.com.

Noticed a cool little touch in the game today.

Watch a replay on a night-time track with a lot of turns that require heavy braking, especially after long straight-aways. Keep an eye on your wheels. The break rotors glow red for a couple of seconds during the turn and fade back to normal.

I might be even more addicted to this game than I was to midnight club.

And has anyone else tried the level 20 Corvette series in the circuit races? I'm about ready to take my controllers out to the driveway and smash them with a sledgehammer. There's a new Lingenfelter C6 Vette in there and it is forever shoving me off the track in the turns. At one point it did it four races in a row. I got annoyed enough that I turned and drove the track backwards and completely crippled his car in a head on collision in the second lap once, just so it wouldn't win.

It was fun Thin'! Obviously I need alot of work. I had some good 'fight's' with you and a couple other's, but just don't have my curves down well enough and concentration collapses. But even tho' I need ALOT of work, I do love this game.
Don't know all the in's and out's of car's, but love to race them. And the graphics and lengthy replay's and all the cool stat's quickly available against friends and other's is so very nice and the kind's of things I really enjoy. Btw, you are GOOD! Beautiful racing. Good group too. I need to learn my car's. Say, did you do alot of SP to learn their characteristic's better, or just compared them on the fly? Any, good racing with you for sure (although I would of like to put up a better showing for our Club to add to your stellar performance.).

*grumbles* I hate you guys so much.

Someone toss me an invite to the Forza car club? It's in the mail.

Mine should be waiting for me when I come home tonight. Yay!

If I get online in Forza tonight I most certainly will do that

Could I get an invite as well to the club?

I'm about to hook my Xbox back up. It's been out and about with me all weekend.

I'm going to attempt to join the last bit of the GR2 session, and when that's over I'll see if I can send invites. That might be up to Donan or Dutty or one of those guys with the fancy "ranking" in the club to do. Not sure if it allows us peons to send invites, but I'll try

My club is doing nothing. I'll join up if it's okay with the leadership. I'm at lvl 25 now and still climbing...

Is there anyone who can't join because they don't have a copy of the game and can't afford it it for whatever reason? If so, send me a PM and we'll see what can be done. Goota get everyone in on this...

After inviting 5 folks and then accidentally quiting the club, I got demoted:) I think Sanjuro is now the back-up for Dutty' (at least he has the stripes now).

Invite, por favor? I mean, I was only the first to respond. Sheesh.

I plan on starting to play this tonight, unless my wife still isn't feeling well. I actually don't know if I've been invited or not, but would appreciate an invitation if not.

Oh, no kidding? Muahahahahahahaa. Forza Car Club, you are SCREWED.

My Forza club ("sandwiches") is holding with a whopping three members!

Can you send me an Invite?
My xbox live name is "MC Milky Rich".

Thanks.

p.s. - I suck

Grrr one more game I'm going to have to break down and buy. Are you guys using wheels or just the standard controllers?

For my part, I'm just using a controller, which I think is true of pretty much all the guys here.

I got to play for about two hours last night, and this is a great game. It reminds me of Grand Turismo, but without the pain (repeating the same race over and over again to get money, trying to get gold on a driver's test 99 times...). The difference in the cars just feels right-- very impressive. Pretty much my only complaint is that I don't always feel the phyiscal sense of speed I would expect to at lower speeds. For instance, I'll take a turn at what feels like a crawl, but look down and see I was going 40, where it felt like 15. That's just a quibble, though-- I think this game is really impressive. I even snuck down and played for 10 minutes before work, something I essentially never do.

Sir, skill has never been a prequisite for this site. You are not alone.

Sorry Coldforge and other's, I went in again to make sure I couldn't do invites anymore and it was true. Dutty' has gone missing of late. Hopefully he'll show and invite you all. I hope we can have a Club only race a few times. It would be load's of fun I'm sure.

Sorry guys, I have been busy as can be this week with work and getting ready for a trip this weekend. I will see if I can get on tonight and send out some invites.

When I get home from school in ~2 hours, I'll knock those invites out. Don't you worry your pretty little head, Dutty.

I like Midnight Club racing.

I thought you guys were my friends, and here you go getting a different racing game.

We have a club too. But now I'm gonna change it's name to the "Midnight Club Racing DUB Edition I hate those Forsa jerks Racing Club"

SwampYankee wrote:

Midnight Club? Oh please. That is a game for mendicants. The mere mention of Midnight Club offends all decency and geometry.

Forza is the racing game for decent people. You should see us on our Forza Racing Evenings (which we don't post about on these boards, for fear of attracting common rabble). We sit around with our headphones plugged into our X-Box Live contraptions, racing our horseless carriages in the electro-dyno-motion picture machine, sipping chianti and discussing the delicate political situation betwixt China and Formosa. We are gentlemen, you see.

MCR:DUB is very cool. But as I mentioned before, I love just 'straight' racing without all the little 'extras' (although I do love 'slowmo!':). And the tracks are out in the country, oval's etc. The replay is outstanding (yea, I'm repeating myself, but ole' folks do that) DUB has great stat's too, which I love, but it's cool to just at a button press you can compare stat's to club members, top board and folks around your same rating's (ELO) level. Anyway, Swampy come taste it...you'll like it!:) And we'd love to have your articulate comment's on this and that regarding game and your racing compadres to say the least. (Lobster' go easy on me o.k. There doesn't need to be 'only one')

*ahem* First of all, I bought Forza. Just haven't gotten it yet.

Now, you guys might be curious to know how my little conversation with Donan went. Well, luckily, one of my buddies took some photographs.

Here's Donan pleading for his life.
