Looks interesting…
Dave the Diver is excellent. I played a few hours of it earlier this year, before deciding to wait until it officially launched.
Skillup’s attitude, when it comes to the PlayStation showcase, is exactly the same as mine.
.
I’m extremely friggin’ excited for Marathon.
I’ve been a long time Bungie fan but Destiny just didn’t do it for me. It’s fantastic to feel the same draw to a new Bungie game as I did for Myth and the early Halo games.
I’ve never taken to an extraction shooter. They do appeal in theory. I enjoy tension and cautious exploration in games but the current examples seem to be either ludicrously complex, like Tarkov, somewhat exploitative or an exercise in seeing how far you’ll get from spawn before being killed instantly by an unseen marksman (It amuses me that last one is basically what the trailer depicts.) Bungie could be the folks to fully sell me on the game mode’s perverse delights.

I wonder 2 things:
- does it have any campaign? previous Marathon games were primary single player.
- if it is just a multiplayer extraction mode then why wasn't it added as a new mode to Destiny 2 instead of a new game?
Maybe it's their attempt to ease people back into the Marathon universe before they do something bigger?
They talk about it as if it’s exclusively an extraction shooter. I hope they do do something single-player or co-op based in the future but that’s not promised.
I like the clean break from Destiny. It means they can use a whole new aesthetic (which I adore.) Also, my impression is they had a hell of a time balancing weapons and abilities between PvE and PvP. They’ll side step that by having it be a new game.

I used to play a lot of Destiny 1&2 but the grind was tiring and kept getting worse. If they made this a new Destiny 2 mode I would never try it. As a separate game there’s a chance I’ll try it. Especially if it’s free to play.
"Look at you, hacker: a pathetic creature of meat and bone, panting and sweating as you run through my corridors. How can you challenge a perfect, immortal machine?"

At last. I can’t believe this legendary gaming mascot has been left to languish for so long.
Teo’s sponsor gave him a challenge card. One of the challenges is to get a solo PUBG win. It has been going as well as you might expect.
I love the first game so much! One of the only games I have ever finished twice.
For all the people who say the FFXVI combat reminds them of DMC or God of War, I am really getting much more of a Kingdom Hearts vibe from this.
I'm not seeing any Kingdom Hearts here. From what I've seen and read, the GoW comparisons are more in regards to the structure of the game as a whole. I definitely see the DMC influence on combat, which would make sense since they poached the DMC combat director for this game.
I continue to be very optimistic about how FFXVI is going to turn out. Fingers crossed that it lives up to that.
The demo available now on all platforms (I think) for Lies of P.
This game has a gorgeous art style.
I must be misreembering. I thought the "Like a Dragon" title was going to be turn based RPGs from now on and the "Yakuza" title was going to be the real time stuff.
I believe they're all "Like A Dragon" now, but the "Gaiden" moniker will be used for the beat-em-up titles going forward.
Oh, Cocoon is by the lead gameplay designer on INSIDE. Colour me interested.
Edit: I hadn’t fully appreciated the sophistication of the typography on that title until just now. Delicious.
These also caught my eye. The art in indie games is so incredible across the board.
I’m always relieved when games have co-op. It’s amazing how quickly you can run out of good co-op experiences (Diablo IV should keep us going for a bit.) Again, phenomenal art.
I’m the opposite. I felt, as they went on, the games moved further and further away from what I enjoyed in those early games so it excites me that they are going back. They may yet retain some of the elements from the later games.
More on Cocoon.
Not really sure what the right thread is for it, but that may have been the best press conference that Xbox has ever done.
