Post a picture, entertain me!

I think it's tradition for every developer to at some point drop or wipe a database by accident. I've done something like that twice. First time almost caused me a panic attack, but my boss just laughed and restored the backup. Second time I laughed and restored it. This is how should be in any environment that is setup right.

Absolutely. Optimizing MTTR within SLA is good practice. Self healing whenever possible. It's almost a rite of passage to mess something up and then learn it's fixable. Likely be shown how to fix it yourself. Ideally watch as it self heals.

How could we possible forget? It's not like they can sneak up behind us with all that rustling of polyester.

Ryan did.

I think I knew that Quakers were a little on the different side, but man this list of Quaker names is WILD

I've come across A LOT of good 17th- and 18th-century Quaker names over the past 3.5 years, as I've worked on my thesis. Now that my thesis is done and submission is near, it's time to share the more than 90 wildest early Quaker names I've found (in alphabetical order):

Tag yourself I'm Robert Were Fox

Some great song/band names in there.

I know I’d listen to “Revolution Sixsmith” by Marvelous Scanfield or “Charity Nutt” by Wilde Wilde for sure.

I mean Love Beer is both accurate and catchy.

Myself, I favor the classical Electronica references of "Returned Elgar", by Love Butcher. EP coming soon on 4AD.

I'm definitely Reuben Rawbone.

I should have posted this too. Back in 2020 she made a Quaker Name Generator too. Hi, I'm Herodious Stubbb, nice to meet you

I need to play an rpg where my character can have one of those names.

Using Trach's generator, I end up with Lancelot Whitehead. Not sure if that is so much Quaker as it is inbred House of Lords.

edit: Also, my elocutionist's name was Kay Wigglesworth. I wonder if she was Quaker now.

Jelly Springett

Tacey Cockery. I can't see how that could possibly be improved on.

Zephaniah Smedley, at your service.

I've been there. The cilantro lime garlic aioli for the fries wasn't as good as advertised. And dot get me started on the chili-crisp marinated duck confit sweet potato habanero hash. So pedestrian.

Not that I doubt the meme is correct in most places, but actually around here those kind of restaurants are really good.

It will be unironically named something like: “The Curious Artistry & Alchemy Café”

Actual picture of Caffe Bene in San Jose.

We have lots of those places here. They're named So and So's dive bar or something something pub and grub. They all have hamburgers with a ton of crap on them but the meat is bland because they don't know how to use salt. They serve stupid crap like spam fries. We also have a hot dog place that is the exact same as these but of course with hot dogs.

The best burger in town is from a meat market that uses the same outdoor grill they've had for 30 years. It costs $7.00 for a cheeseburger, $1 for chips. Their cheese is some sort of American cheese. They only have their sauce, ketchup, mustard, relish, and uncooked plain white onions. I rode my bike there today for lunch and had one. It's nice to have a burger that's just a burger and not a buffet on a bun.
