Same. My first was almost certainly something simple in the 2600, but I remember this one. First might have been Combat, or Pong, or E.T.

Edit: My Dad is pretty sure it was this 3-game HeathKit-1999

If it weren't for the buoys and cafe umbrellas, I'd almost be able to see the Drowners and Nightwraiths in that pic...

The fact that it didn't have Loo written somewhere is a missed opportunity...

43 years ago today, March 21, 1980, Who Shot JR? In the final scene of the 1979–80 season, J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) hears a noise outside his office, walks out to the corridor to look, and is shot twice by an unseen assailant. The episode, titled "A House Divided", was broadcast on March 21, 1980 and was written by Loraine Despres and directed by Leonard Katzman. Viewers had to wait all summer to learn whether J.R. would survive, and which of his many enemies was responsible.

Our family never watched Dallas but back then I recall you couldn't escape people talking about it.

My wife and I just had some type of conversation about "who shot JR" not too long ago. Can't recall the details but she also brought up the other big soap opera moment from the show was when Bobby Ewing was killed off but then brought back later as it was all "just a dream".

Now Luke and Laura's wedding, that moment I was on top of.

That was one thing lost with the massive volume of entertainment and media. There's so much more that it basically is impossible to reach the point where everyone is talking or watching one thing. The comparison I always liked is game of thrones got about 10 million people watching an episode. The Beverly hillbillies got about 60 million. Or a third of the country at the time. And as someone who watched that show. It wasn't cause it was that good. Photo for reference.

Yep. Another comparison might be back in March/April 2020, when no one really knew what was happening but the antimaskers hadn't ruined our moment of solidarity yet, and we all decided to watch Tiger King together. Terrible show, but we all learned about Carole Baskin and her husband.

I've eaten person. Don't know what all the fuss is about.

Spoiler:

It was a placenta chocolate (so ethically sourced person-meat, no people were harmed in the making of it) and it was very very gross. But I got to tick "human" off the list of Eat One Of Everything Before I Die so totes worth it.

Spoiler:

I mean, you could tick that off just by swallowing some of your dried lip skin. And you've swallowed your own blood too, so you can check drinking human blood off too (if you haven't already). And if those soemhow don't count as human meat, then I don't think placenta does either.

Two things.

One, without my knowledge or consent, my MIL hung this Donnie Darko looking thing in my house:
