Marvel Snap - Catch-all

I prefer Rogue over Enchantress, she’s not as reliable as Enchantress’ “just nuke everything” approach but gaining control of the ability she disrupts more than makes up for it, IMO.

I don't have Rogue, I am now on the stage where unlocking new cards has slowed to a complete crawl, which is disappointing.

Anyway, here are all the Deadpools (they retreated after clearly working out that after I killed 4 Deadpools the turn before, lots were coming) IMAGE(https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fpg1OYvWAA4gUH3?format=jpg&name=large)

My nastiest Space Throne move was the simple Green Goblin on Throne, which wasn't the nasty part. That came when I sent a Shuri-ed Hobgoblin into their strong lane, filling it. But, I did have the Win with 10 or Less mission, so.

I'm glad I got in matches like this before the Sandman changes really take hold (I got emoted "What happened!?" and "I don't believe you!" so I can only hope my fist bump response was taken in good humor). A 62 point turn 6 feels pretty great:

Aw man, apparently the new patch is nerfing Sandman from 4/1 to 5/5. He was the perfect turn 4 card, relegating him to turn 5 (in non-ramp decks) makes him less useful and harder to justify compared to other 5 energy cards.

Yeah, it’s supposed to be a “buff” but I don’t know if that’s the case. Making him 4/2 seemed like a better idea.

We'll see, I'm intending to make a Sandman deck for the sweet Storm variant that finally showed up in the shop, woooo!

Also, I got Agatha. As advertised, she's a terrible player.

I do enjoy that the chief strategy in a lot of Agatha decks is "KILL AGATHA" - or rather, discard & Hela.

Yeah, I tried to Wave her out, but Wave never showed up, so I got to watch in horror as she made the most boneheaded plays possible (Domino onto Murderzone, not then Storming onto Murderzone, playing Gamora in a lane that had clearly been surrendered). The deck I was using as a base suggested Sif, but but didn't have Hela or Ghost Rider, so what's the f*cking point of that, I can botch 3 turns on my own, thank you.

I did just play a match (against a fellow ska-head no less), and it went much better since Wave showed, and as a 4/14, Agatha is pretty crushing.

They really need to overhaul the post 50 season pass rewards. Of 23 boxes past 50 21 of them have been 50 credits. I guess it's something but it doesn't feel good.

Gee, uh, that's a pretty nice Patriot zoo deck ya got there...

Sure would be a shame if something were to happen to it... *twirls card in fingers*

This is why I play Mystique on a different location. It may not get me the massive last round you get from playing Onslaught on her and Patriot, but it leaves me an opening to close the game out.

I think they need to overhaul the rewards system in general, My CL is in the 4000’s and there are still some original Series 3 cards I’m missing because I keep getting variants of cards I already have out of the reserve boxes. I’ve gotten 4 different variants of Adam Warlock but heaven forbid I should get a card I actually want to use.

Ideally that's what the Token Shop is for, but then there are the days where the Token Shop decides to offer me a 6000 Token variant instead of an actual card.

Even if it's a normal card, seems to be 1000 tokens and they only ever give you 100 at a time it seems, so it takes ages to get anything.
Also the amount of people who throw in the towel as soon as Enchantress shuts down Wong is just funny considering half the time I don't have anything useful left in my hand.

Yikes, I'm around 2400 with 14 left in pool 3, so I don't like hearing this. I'd love some sort of variant, avatar, and title buyback shop, even if just for a pittance of credits, a CL or two has more value than the Christmas variant of Store Brand Desaad Ebony Maw. But I also wouldn't mind variants dropping more, assuming the acquisition rate of real cards, tokens, or both was increased. There are a lot of cards with neat variants I wouldn't think to spend gold on.

While we're at it, I'd also like to see the number of decks you can have increased. I just reviewed them all, and while there is a neat but maybe unplayable experiment or two, most of them represent some sort of tried and true style I feel like I should have available.

I'm CL 2800 and I am 7 cards short of being pool 3 complete. I've spent all my tokens on any pool 3 card that pops up so I'm sure that's why I have so many cards, but the amount of tokens you get at this point is laughable. Hopefully the honeymoon period ends soon enough and their pricing comes down.

How do you know which cards are in which pool?

For research and comparison: CL 2772 and 12 left from pool 3. I do have a handful of pools 4 and 5, but I've been hovering around 12 in pool 3 because they keep moving cards in there from 4.

And now I am 6 cards short. Since I got 2 new cards from 2 caches back to back, how long is it going to be before I get another card?

Finished my pool 3 collection. Not sure what I expected to happen but for now it feels like I have done everything the game has to offer.

I talked to my students about the overjustification effect a few days ago (getting rewards for activities that we enjoy kills our intrinsic motivation to participate in said activity once the rewards is removed) and maybe that's what has happened here.

I really hope the people implementing all the cookie cutter f2p monetization strategies take a psychology 101 class at some point and in 5-10 years gaming will have moved on from this business model or at least from the daily log in numbers as indicator of successful game design.

You're guaranteed one pool 3 card in every 4 caches, so if you got 2 cards back to back that second one was the first one in the next set of four so your fourth cache can have another card or you might have to wait until the seventh cache if you're unlucky.

Bascially you'll have all 6 missing cards in 6 (cards missing) x 4 (caches guaranteed to hold a card) x 12 (levels until you get a cache) levels at latest or if the last card is in your first, second or third cache of the last four a little faster.

After that you'll get a pool 4 card every 40 caches (with a slight chance of it being upgraded in a pool 5 card).

I honestly don't care about the rewards in the game. I've never felt that I need to spend money to have fun.

I play, sometimes I win, sometimes I lose and I'm having fun the whole time. I don't even know how may pool 3 or higher cards I have.

I'm very much in a fanboy collecting mode, so I'm eager to be out of pool 3 so I can more easily get the characters I think are neat. I wouldn't mind having a Thanos or Galactus to play with, but, come on, Dazzler? Dazzler!

Dazzler!

Agent 13 gave me Magneto and allowed me to move Wong away from a turn 6 Odin, White Tiger play, this is the most fun I've had with this game.

Closely followed by getting a Hobgobloin onto The Nexus

I had my first game where I was now the spamming jerk, slapping the wounded Deadpool emote repeatedly during the minute-plus duration of my opponent's turn 6, where they had Kamar-Taj filled with Wong, Ironheart, Absorbing Man & Odin.

Congrats on your win, dawg, but if you're making me sit through this, I'm gonna express my pain. (I think they took it in good humor given they, in return, started slapping "Aaaaaaaargh!")

I encountered my first fast forward the other day, I can’t remember the exact set up my opponent managed but the game skipped the worst of it thankfully.

I consistently get fast-forwards on Modok decks when he triggers the on-discard effects of other cards in my hand.

I think I encountered a possible cheat today--wish I'd taken some captures and recalled their name, but alas. Anyway, they played Devil Dino on a turn, and then the next turn a Jubilee who pulled out Mystique...who proceeded to copy the ability from DD. I know that's not how Mystique works, since I've Jubileed her out plenty fishing for Mr Negative.

No, that is how it works. If you Jubliee Absorbing Man he copies the card played before Jubliee not Jubliee. I'm pretty sure all cards that target other played cards work that way with Jubliee.

I think Mystique may just be a bit buggy, I’ve had numerous instances where she reacts to other cards in weird ways. I have her in a discard deck with Morbius and I’ve seen her lose her copied ability when Morbius gets disrupted in a different lane, which shouldn’t happen. I’ve also seen her copy The Collector once in the same deck, even though his ability isn’t Ongoing and she shouldn’t be able to copy it.
It doesn’t happen A LOT, but over the course of hundreds of matches she’s definitely done some things I can’t explain.
