Curious about this: How much money you've spent on steam?

Taken 100% from this thread on Reddit

For me it is 1569.23. Which does go back to 2016 when I created my account but still that is more than I would have thought

The best way to check is described here How to See How Much Money You’ve Spent on Steam Games

$5,153.41

Yikes! No wonder my pile is so big!

Edit: I have 338 games in my Steam library, so that averages out to $15.25 per game, which isn't too bad actually!

Just under $3500 for me. Yikes indeed!
Edit: $1700 before April 17, 2015 apparently.
... I got better!

I think I am going to vomit..

Seven and a half grand.

That doesn't include spend on bundles that gave out Steam keys, which is probably at least another 500. Or Epic, which is probably another few hundred. Or Game Pass. Or Switch.

Still, it's been well over a decade, so well under a grand a year isn't too bad for an alpha-gamer's platform of choice.

A bit over $1200, and the account was made in 2007, so that isn't terrible. Only $80 a year if you average it, although most of it was actually spent in the first 8 years.

1574.96

That’s way less than I expected. Guess I need to go on a shopping spree!

I have two numbers listed:
OldSpend: 207.31
PWSpend 0.00

Not really sure why OldSpend is called that though. Is there "NewSpend" too?

6900 since the Orange Box came out doesn't seem terrible.

$4,473.05
Actually less than I expected.
75% of it after April 17, 2015, even though the account was created in November 2004, is not great however.
I figured it would have been closer to 50/50...

$1068.85, which is surprisingly low considering the size of my library and that I’ve had that account since 2008.

Old is how much you spent before they started limiting what accounts could do if they didn't spend money (in regards to trading, Steam market, blah blah blah). New is what you've spent after that point.

PW is Perfect World which is the Chinese company that runs the Chinese clients for CS and Dota.

* “TotalSpend” is the total amount of money you’ve spent on this Steam account. This is the number you’re looking for.
* “OldSpend” is the amount of money you’ve spent before April 17, 2015. (This was the date “Limited User Account” restrictions for people who haven’t spent at least $5 on Steam went into place.)
* “PWSpend” is the amount of money you’ve spent on a Perfect World account, according to IGN. Perfect World Entertainment is a Chinese online gaming company that operates Dota 2 and CS:GO in China.

Edit: iaintgotnopantshausered!
...I got pantsed?

"Only" $474.70, but my return to gaming has been pretty recent - and even more recent on PC.

First purchase was Football Manager in 2012 and then nothing until Dark Souls 3 in 2019.

Huh I don't have a total spend line.

I have a fourth line for ChinaSpend at 0.00 RMB which I assume is for the Chinese Steam client.

Wow only $1673 since Orange Box. I do like sales

Pretty much never buy anything on preorder or early access unless it's on sale 10-20% off.

I'm gonna guess if I did that "value of games on steam account" check it would be 8x higher at least.

$3113
Considering I try to buy most "steam" games from other vendors, that is still scary.

Self-loathing as I am, I just checked SteamDB. It says... $3241 (lowest game prices) and $11052 (current prices).
As much as I sure have spent on steam games, it is not that at least. Probably only meaningful to check that calculation during a sale.

Btw, the next obvious question here is... how much of your game library have you played!

That is the part I don’t want to think about

>10k Total
4k-ish, old

Could be reasons, hard to say.

$2769.87

I was expecting more, tbh. I assume this also includes gifts I've bought for others. Pretty interesting to see!

$4601.46

That's a lot less than I would have guessed.

I am approaching $13k, though 95% of my gaming is done on PC and most of that is on Steam.

About $660, which seems a little low?

$143.86. Just nobody put the link for the PSN Store.

$6659.55

547 games in my library

$12.17 per game seems ok. I know it lists multiple version for a few games so the actual spend per game is higher.

Huh. Thought my number would be bigger. $4300 since 2004.

At first I thought this was going to be like hitting /play in EverQuest2. Interesting information but a number I was much happier not knowing.

In this case I have spent 2603.00 on 612 items for an average of ~4.25 a game. I feel alright.

$1,329.16. Not bad!

Or the Nintendo eShop. There's certain information that nobody needs to know...

$15839.71

This is completely unsurprising.

All business expenses, right V?
