Is it just me or is Bradshaw the one who ought to be contemplating retirement?

Yep, post game Travis is still a tool and Mahomes is still the man so no surprises there.

Grats to Reid and Mahomes. They probably still would have won but man the refs really ruined the ending and completely took the air out of what was up to then going to end a classic.

Pretty much my thoughts.

Chiefs probably still get a FG and we get a rebuttal by the Eagles.

NFL cheated the fans out of a proper ending but Goodell is too dumb to even know.

Me: Why are they congratulating the nepotism owner? He didn't do anything!

My son: Yeah, he didn't score any points or get any first downs!

Me: My work here is done.

I mean the Chiefs were brilliant in the second half. Everything was so good. The play calls the routes the deception it was a master class in adjustments and knowing exactly how to exploit the defense.

I was emotionally rooting for PHi, GG, just because I love your city and the underdog nature of the town {+Joe Frazier). Sorry someone had to lose here and that it ended up being Philly.

Solid game. A lot of the bigger plays were more screwups by a defense rather than an individual moment of something amazing, but the Chiefs were just so damn efficient in the second half. Felt like Philly should have been up by more than they were after the first half.

That late call was a bit ticky-tack, yeah. I mean, it was holding. It was definitely holding, but "holding enough"? I don't buy any conspiracy BS, the NFL would have loved a final Philly drive for the drama, but kind of ruins the end. Absolutely understand it being called, but would have preferred it not be just for more excitement.

2nd half Eagles defense was garbage. No adjustments at all. Come on.

Yeah, I know refs at the local college level. No one has the time to think, "If I make X call, that will mean Y benefit for me."

It's much more: "React based on what I perceived. Stand by my call so that the game is fair. Hopefully I got it right. (This sh*t is hard.)"

Not truly scientific or anything, but man, game done changed.

Chiefs offensive line was insane though.

Facing the team with the second most sacks in a single season in NFL history, the Chiefs’ offensive line allowed ZERO sacks.

Yes, this. Their O-line just ate up everything and the Iggles didn't adjust.

Also, the Chiefs made almost no mistakes. Two offside penalties and maybe a bad pass or two. Iggles had two huge ones: the fumble, and the bad punt coverage.

It was also weird that during almost the whole game I felt like the Iggles were winning but I didn't understand how. Chiefs seemed like they were moving the ball almost effortlessly, while even when the Iggles had drives they were going to 3rd and 4th down a lot.

It also seemed to me like Hurts was not right after halftime, which is ironic since everyone was worried about Mahomes.

After all that, if they had managed to make the Chiefs punt early after they tied the game at 35 they had a good chance. Mahomes didn't let that happen.

I think that defensive holding call sucked, but didn't really change the outcome.

Eagles D slipping around. Not sure how hard it is to figure out your footwear before a game like this.

Did they ever change their shoes? They seemed to be slipping the whole game.

The field conditions were an embarrassment. It’s the Super Bowl you got one job and they failed.

They said that a bunch of Eagles changed their cleats at half. They also said that the Chiefs had been complaining about the field since week 1 - so they had experience on that turf and probably adjusted their cleats prior to the game

I’m just thankful nobody blew out an ACL during the game.

Iggles? What game are you watching?

Decided to watch Hulu's Killing County* as a palette cleanser after the game and dear God is Giancarlo Esposito in absolutely everything these days**.

* = Decision made after Fox Sports during the pregame made a big to do of saluting Black quarterbacks and they didn't mention Colin Kaepernick, who's media company is responsible for this documentary series. Your skin color does matter, Fox, when you try to point out that your skin color does in fact matter outside of sports.

** = All right, it was a clip from an old comedy show called Bakersfield P.D., but I'm going to count it in my book.

Go to their own Pro Shop and find out.

The highest paid player on that list isn't even a running back.

PRESEASON THREAD. Plenty of Mahomes/Reid shine there, too (but no Eagles hate because Philly has nothing to be ashamed of)
