[News] Post a D&D Picture

Previous incarnations of Cleveland/P&C/D&D have had an image thread, to handle political cartoons and other image-based stuff that doesn't belong in the general post-a-picture threads.

If any of them spawn an extended discussion, please spawn it off into its own thread. Replies to non-picture replies should take the form of a link pointing to a post on a different discussion thread.

And I shouldn't have to say it, but the images still need to abide by the rules.

I was going to say something sarcastic but witty but really I just hate republicans. I don't' know how else to put it. For years while fighting against the ACA they trumpeted keeping government out of the doctor's office but the second they want something medical done differently they hare more than happy to have uncle sam in the examination room.

I like to frame things around the fact that this nation was founded by ultra conservative radical religious fundamentalists who were essentially exiled from Europe, so our de facto position is essentially reactionary. Progressives have always had a naturally uphill battle, and despite that, we’re still winning.

(Not as fast as we’d like, and our victories are rarely clean cut, but we are winning nonetheless).

This continent may have been landed on by ultra conservative religious fundamentalists, but the US wasn't founded by them.

Sure, there are plenty of other narratives. I like to think there’s nuance between “The United States was founded as a Christian nation” and “The United States was founded by Christians.” There were a lot more than four signatures on those early documents.

That meme is, unsurprisingly, also dubious at best.

For everyone's safety, I recommend locking up your 101 Dalmatians until further notice.

Been saying that for years. Its a trap. It throws you out into the mean real world so that you come running back to the cozy warm embrace of the church...

He should have had her removed. Where the MFing consequences for these people?

That would have only increased her visibility and stature.

The consequences are Biden following up that outburst with "sounds like we agree that we shouldn't mess with Social Security and Medicare." He provoked them so that he can use that little show against them if they try to move forward with that particular bit of... policy. Dark Brandon played 'em like a fiddle there...

If you still think the republicans care about being hypocrites or lying, you are very wrong…

It's not about what Republican politicians care about. It's about giving the media something juicy to show the American people if the Republicans decide to give them a reason.

It is obvious, to me, that republicans are no longer trying to appeal to the "undecideds" they are purely trying to get the base angry enough all the time to go out an vote. They decided back when trump got picked that they were not going to be a party that represented most Amerians but the party that got their 20-25% out to vote in everything.
Sadly since a good 50% of people don't vote their strategy works.

Not that the bar is set all that high, but furries in general do a lot better job ostracizing fascists than the GOP.

Didn't work all that well last year. Yeah, they got the House, but barely and they vastly under-performed expectations. Compared to how midterms usually go they lost pretty big.

It didn't and I hope it continues to fail but every time I think "now they will have to try to adopt policies the majority of American's want" they decide to go after drag shows and trans basketball players in rural Missouri or some sh*t.
