Name that GAME Thread

The whole who’s on first thing is so weird for a European as it’s enough of a cultural reference in American media I understand the joke but I have never actually seen where it originated from ( quotes Billy Connolly and Monty Python jokes in his head to soothe self)

Just pretend its cricket... And can someone post an image of a game?

Not really the point of this thread, but sure...

While correct I think it's still Green's turn or Grenn's turn; not sure which.

Just trying to find a happy medium here...

Wow, blast from the past. Is that Graham Gooch Cricket?

Nope. Different cricket player that I also do not know anything about.

The Lord Cowdrey of Tonbridge Pro cricket 1992?

Nope, that's another cricket player I had never heard of.

Brian Lara cricket?

Continuing a theme of sports North Americans don’t really care about. Bit of a clue on the advertising board.

The addition of vehicles really made it hard to stop rampaging runs up the wing.

Jonah Lomu Rugby!

Bouncer the dogs Aussie Rules Football?

Bruce Bruceman's Bruising Footy Challenge.

At this point I'm not sure if people are just making stuff up, or there really was all these games with long winded titles featuring people's names.

Yes.

Yes indeed.

Take the last game that Pink Stripes posted, Brian Lara Cricket. I guessed Graham Gooch Cricket - which, in fact, is also correct, because it's the same game with a different title. It was also released as Allan Border Cricket, Jonty Rhodes II World Class Cricket and Shane Warne '97.

Hell of a time.

Come to think of it, I don't remember the last sports game that carried a person's name (aside from Madden, which is not exactly a new franchise). Any thoughts?

I'm going to call this one good enough. It's Aussie Rules Footy for the NES. Unfortunately the only "player name" AFL game is Kevin Sheedy's AFL Coach, which is probably heading a little too far into obscure territory.

Can I now petition someone to make the Bouncer the Dog Game? Actually I bet if I have a look tonight there probably is something Neighbours related around that era surely the license was big enough someone churned out something. Onto something i spend waaaaayyyy too much time onIMAGE(https://tse3.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.-5jpjFNVHc9B-q1eTfJoxgHaF7&pid=Api&P=0)

I played way too many hours of this on my Amiga 500... but cannot recall the name.

I think it was named after a then-famous snooker player, and think it was the one with the big glasses...

Dennis Taylor's Snooker?

edit: just googled it, lol no not Dennis Taylor...

Oh, man, the only one I remember is Sharkey's 3D Pool and this isn't it.

Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker!
