NFL 2022: The playoffs thread

Are there any players, other than Kelce, still on the Eagles from their last SB? If they win will Kelce give another hungry dawg speech?

Also, Gardner Minshew could be a Super Bowl champion.

Burrow is good, but goodness gracious does having a Jamar Chase make the game easier.

CBS and Paramount should have held onto all those trailers until after everyone on social media started questioning the quality of the officiating.

"This game is rigged! Oh, new spy show starring Kiefer Sutherland. Take my money!"

KC decided to punt to CIN from the CIN 37 on 4th & 8 with 2:36 remaining in the 4th while tied 20 to 20.

With a Surrender Index of 120.85, this punt ranks at the 99.9th percentile of cowardly punts of the 2022 season, and the 99.9th percentile of all punts since 1999.

I wondered WTF they were doing

Burfict's legacy lives on.

Great defense for 59:50, Cincy. What a dumb penalty to end the game on

Welp, sorry Ossai; Tony Romo basically said you need to get fired.

What happened to holding the flags in the playoffs? The reffing was terrible today.

I guess that's what they were doing.

Waiting for Bungles to return? Lucky

Crappy way for a really good game to end. New entrant on the "dumbest plays ever" list.

A few..Elliot, Cox, Graham, Johnson, technically Barnett as well but he’s been on IR for most of the season.

When we saw him on the bench at the end of the game, I just wanted to give him a big hug.

The memes comparing him to Pacman Jones are more than a little cruel.

Would have been nice to see this matchup play out as an actual game.

Despite the win I couldn’t agree with this more…we 100% got robbed of what should have been a fascinating 60 minute chess match.

The first two series were quite surprising to me and granted who knows how the game plan and decisions would have panned out but if I put myself on the other side I’m baffled why Shannahan didn’t immediately challenge the 4th and 3rd play..the upside/downside was so skewed to throwing that challenge flag. It’s basically a turnover situation near midfield and I’m struggling to understand even without a clear initial replay you don’t throw the flag if anything to simply stop the hurry up.

Next the decision to block the Eagles best pass rusher coming off the blind side with a TE is baffling…either it’s a complete lack of preparation leading up to the game or perhaps combined with that non challenge a lack of respect for the other team. Perhaps he was overconfident and didn’t think the Eagles had any chance on either side of the ball for 60 minutes…and didn’t take every series seriously like you hope in a single elimination game.

After that though it’s all a mess…the defense showed up and really made that probably even more frustrating to watch because it’s just an if only situation from there on out.

Hassan Riddick should have had Trent Williams on him all night.
