NFL 2022: The playoffs thread

I'll take the win when I can. Been a long time coming! Go G-men!

10 years sheesh

Ravens finally get 7. Feels like weeks.

Run that bobbled snap play again. Haha

Figured Ravens would get 3 and the lead after the fumble but now they might get 7.

Nah of course they throw short with the timeout instead of running it. Whatever. Got the lead at least.

What a turn of events... That was quite a big boy run.

What's the opposite of having the will to win?

Whatever it is, that's Baltimore.

This game is nuts. Aside from the 49ers game, second half, this whole weekend has been nuts

Yes! I hope they saved a little bit of that for tomorrow night.

Wheels eventually came off the Baltimore offense. It looked suspect all game.

No idea what they were doing with the clock management down the stretch. Played themselves into a Hail Mary.

Football Jesus goes to Arrow head? Tasty.

Neither Buffalo nor Cincinnati looked all that scary today. Feels like the AFC is KC's to lose.

And hopefully they lose it next week!

Excited for two of my Sports Hates to come together tonight.

Cowboys. Brady.

There can be only one. May it be, the Dallas Jerry's.

One thing that resonated with me is I heard I think Dominique Foxworth point out how DAL fans have suffered for 25+ years with mediocrity and they STILL support their team. I think I have to give them that.

J K Dobbins calls out the coaches. Says he should have gotten the ball at the one. He's not wrong.

He says that if they had Lamar, they would have won. He's not wrong.

Robert Griffin III says Lamar was right to sit out and that he shouldn't let folks try to Shanny him. He is DEFINITELY not wrong.

CJ Stroud has officially declared for the draft. He just wanted to make everyone wait till the deadline.

Naw they don't get credit for that. They have been crowing about how elite they that whole time and point to those 90s cowboys as proof.

Could be Brady's last game with the Bucs; time for Tampa to stop being hated, and go back to being forgotten.

The Bucs did activate center Robert Jensen, who tore multiple knee ligaments right at the start of the preseason practices. Freakishly fast recovery, and the middle of the Bucs' line has been a dumpster fire this year without him. That's a very significant addition presuming he can play at anything resembling 100%.

Brady beating the Cowboys but still eventually losing would be fun.

Thing is everytime I said ya sure Brady winning this one game to lose the next usually resulted in him winning the SB.

Not sure what the maximum Brady schadenfreude scenario is. Getting run over by the Giants, Eagles or 49ers all have their own narrative. Please please please just don't let him into the SB.

I think it's possible but not likely they beat the Cowboys, but, as crappy as they've been this year, the 49ers would steamroll them next week. If they miraculously won that one, Philly would kill them, presuming they crush the Giants as expected. They're just not a good team, and if they were in any division other than either of the Souths, there's no way they'd be sniffing the playoffs, let alone advancing.

And, yes, I would LOVE a surprise final run to hoist another trophy, but, uh, not real likely.

Imagining the Giants once again riding a not-that-good QB but a good enough offense and a strong pass rush to another improbable Super Bowl and giggling endlessly.

3 out of 4 Super Bowls in my lifetime!

Maybe it's easier to ask what isn't Giancarlo Esposito in these days.

Keeping track of the real contest tonight; Micah Parson sacks vs. Donovan Smith holding calls.

After one drive, Donovan leading, 1-0.

Nick Bosa gets held around the neck like that on almost every snap. Parsons wouldn't have a shot at DPOY if Bosa got those calls too.

There's something hilarious about Deion describing himself as "old school".

Hey Deion, go back to the 90s and ask "old school" coaches what they thought about "Neon Deion".

Two terrible offensive teams so far.

And a roughing call on Tampa before Dallas? Would have lost that prop bet

And a soft-ass roughing call at that. They must have forgotten which uniform Brady wears.

Leftwich looking at the playsheet and talking to Brady like, "I don't see 'triple-pump option pitch' on the sheet".

Those two points going to matter is the most DAL thing.

Please Bucs, find your inner Jag and make a comeback happen. Let those missed PATs be the difference.

Jesus Dallas it's only an extra point
