Well Stele, Cal lost tonight, so we hold serve.
We are in some no name pre season tournament so we get Clemson tomorrow. Here’s our chance to jump ahead of you.
Yeah we'll lose Tuesday to Maryland. Think I might bet on it. Might as well get paid for my suffering.
Purdue just whipped Gonzaga.
Oregon v Mich St is tight but I might have to sleep
And... 0-7... you're up Stele.
UNC v Bama in 4th overtime. I should have been watching sooner. Hope Tyrian is having fun.
This is bad right?
Out of 363 D1 teams
Cal is:
-58.4 points per game (356th)
-9.6 assists per game (349th)
-29.2 three point % (313th)
-40.8 FG % (302nd)
-16 turnovers per game (326th)

At least you’re not dead last in any of those categories.
You're only 213 in KenPom though.
So suddenly this is the final ACC-B1G Challenge after 23 years. Apparently because ESPN lost B1G rights, and so the ACC-SEC challenge starts next year.
Kind of sad that TV money is ending a fun event.
Anyway, ACC up 2-0 last night. But B1G favored in 4 of 6 tonight and 3 of 6 tomorrow. Heh.
And... 0-7... you're up Stele.
Match.
Next game for us Sunday. Looks like you have Wed, Sun.
I believe 0-8 is the power conference record from 1961 or so. Could fall twice.
So 4-2 would tie tomorrow? It looks like that's where the spreads are but tonight defied logic.
-2 Miami / Rutgers will be close
FSU will get annihilated by Purdue -15
-5.5 Duke will beat Ohio State
-2.5 Michigan St. will handle Notre Dame
and UNC will lose to Indiana -5
Yep. Lines right now. And you forgot -6 Nebraska over BC.
If the lines hold, tie. But ND, Miami close, could flip either way

I haven't checked with the other 5 0-win teams.. I know they're not power conference but is Cal now in the pole position on setting records? We play again tonight.. has anyone gone 0-8 this year yet?
EDIT: Dang Central Connecticut is already 0-8. Their next game is Saturday so looks like they are in pole position. GO BLUE DEVILS!
SDSU holds on by the skin of their teeth to survive a scare at home from UC Irvine.
What voodoo does KenPom use? Cal is ahead of 3-4 Oregon State? 3-4 UC San Diego who beat Cal is way behind us as well.
I'm pretty familiar with "famous Cal Alumni" (Aaron Rodgers went to Butte Community College btw), and don't think he's on the list.
Ha! FSU only lost by 10
Wait…
What?
Man we suck

Please... there are 360+ D1 teams and you found the one gaming message board where of the 6 or 7 of us that post here, 2 of us root for 0-win teams... your one win means you have to stay on the kids table with our tarheel, aztec, and volunteer fan, with your juice and sippy cups. Stele and I are enjoying a nice bourbon and napa valley wine here at the adults table.
Checks scoreboard... Cal has 2 points after 10 (TEN!) minutes of play.. we are on pace for 8 points in this game against USC.
and 0-8 with top 5 Arizona on the road on the weekend... so 0-9 here we come.

We should tie you Sun afternoon but then you'll overtake us for the power conference record
and 0-8 with top 5 Arizona on the road on the weekend... so 0-9 here we come.
That will be the one you win. Just for funzies.

Forgot to answer this. I'm sure there's a FAQ on his site. But it's basically all about offense and defense efficiency, or points per possession. So in his formula a 1 point loss isn't much different than a 1 point win. You were right there in it and are basically even with that team you lost to or beat, even though it doesn't feel like it as a fan.
But there's also a connected factor between all teams. And usually that takes a few weeks of the season to work out. At this point we should be there though so any baked in preseason seeding is gone.

Wow. You are so desperate for a win that you have to one up me on how bad your team is?
Ok. You win. My team sucks and your team sucks harder. Congratulations

0-8 secured vs Miami.
Signs of hope on the horizon...
#238 Oregon State, 1 of 2 major conference teams with a worse KenPom rating than #204 Louisville, beat #360 Florida A&M 60-43 at home.
Louisville hosts Florida A&M on Dec 17.
Maybe we won't be winless at least. Maybe.
0-9... looks like we're down to 4 D1 teams left with 0 wins.
Cal can be the first to double digit losses though as we play Eastern Washington at home on Wednesday, while our equally hapless friends at 0-9 Central Connecticut don't play until Friday.
Eastern Washington (3-5, Kenpom #243)
Butler (6-3, #86)
@Santa Clara (8-2, #108)
Texas Arlington (45, #286)
If we don't Eastern Washington or Texas Arlington, we could be on the verge of a 0-win season. Would be good to beat stanfurd as our only win... we'll see.
History being made at Cal!
