[News] Post a D&D Picture

Previous incarnations of Cleveland/P&C/D&D have had an image thread, to handle political cartoons and other image-based stuff that doesn't belong in the general post-a-picture threads.

If any of them spawn an extended discussion, please spawn it off into its own thread. Replies to non-picture replies should take the form of a link pointing to a post on a different discussion thread.

And I shouldn't have to say it, but the images still need to abide by the rules.

Anyone want to tell him that watching random horror movies is so last month?

So.... Walker is projecting - Walker knows he is a fraud, brought in to solve a problem that he has no skills for because someone saw him on TV, and everything he's trying isn't working.

Wondered if this was a made up term but Webster's says it is really a thing

Some might say it's the core policy of the GOP these days.

But he does have dementia, so...?

I don't really disagree with the sentiment of the picture, but did a Big Mac really cost 50 cents in 1980? I don't think it did.

Maybe in 1970 it did.

Maybe in 1970 it did.

In the 1970s it was 65 cents.

In 1984 it was $1.35

In the 1990s it was about $2.50

And, according to fastfoodmenuprices.com, a Big Mac today will cost you no where near $8.00. A Big Mac in Hawaii today will set you back an average of $5.31 (the value meal was $7.97).

Also the minimum wage in 1980 was $3.10, not $7.25. That was set in 2009. And while it's still technically $7.25 I seriously doubt there's many companies who are only paying that in today's labor market. In fact the average hourly wage of a McDonald's employee looks to be between $11 and $14 an hour.

Who are these people taking pictures of fast food menus in the '70s?

Well, I don't know about the 70's, but I know that last one is a closed, abandoned McDonald's in Alaska that closed in the 90's.

The Bobby's World toys would suggest fairly early '90s at that.

My imagination runs riot pondering how it is you know that.

It popped up in the AbandonedPorn subreddit not that long ago.

Mr "I pick the best people" chose 33% of the justices, and the decision was unanimous.
If they don't follow his every desire they are corrupt. Typical dictator thinking.
