What are you playing this weekend?

I'll be chipping away at Fallout 4. I am enjoying this game more this go around (after a couple failures to launch in the past), but I still would love to have another New Vegas-like experience. ;

Darktide!

Vermintide 2 if Darktide servers can't handle the load. And maybe a few token rounds of Modern Warfare 2 vanilla MP (no Warzone 2.0 for me)

DOOM and/or Darkwood.

I'm away from home visiting my old man so I'll only be playing hand-held stuff on my 3DS. Solatorobo, for sure, and maybe a little Luigi's Mansion 2.

Juggling too many JRPGs these days:

  • Persona 3 Portable (PSP)
  • Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen (PC)
  • Final Fantasy X Remaster (PC)

The main one is trying to finish the post game story in Pokemon: Legends Arceus, and also doing some last achievement hunting in Troubleshooters: Abandoned Children with the Strategy game club. And I might even crack open Pokemon Scarlet, depending on when it arrives.

I’m pretty hooked on Ys VIII right now so likely more of that

Have still yet to finish either even once despite hundreds of hours spent in each. Good luck!

For me, I think I got S.T.A.L.K.E.R Gamma installed and running okay. Had some glitching but hopefully that’s subsided.

Also finally got my PS3 set up and dug out my games, because I want to play more Red Dead Redemption. Might fire up Fallout: New Vegas while I’m at it; my overpowered Courier is stuck in the Lonesome Road DLC somewhere, last I recall from years ago, and I found the DLC to be so bullet-spongy and overscripted for what I want in my Fallout experience that I just want out. That’s why I fell off it when I did.

All that, and I might throw an hour at either Polygon or CoD: Warzone 2.0. Neither is my usual jam, but playing and enjoying the former combined with footage of the latter (those gun sounds!) has me thinking maybe I should play more of this style of game.

Pentiment for me. Only just started, but I've been looking forward to this game ever since it was announced.

Pentiment is good so far. Probably Flashpoint: Southern Storm and Campaigns VietNam too.

Continuing to play through Baldur's Gate for basically the first time. A few years ago I made it an hour or two in before getting distracted by something else but now I'm working my way through the Nashkel Mines.

I started this a number of months ago. I found it to be intimidating and overwhelming. I'd love to get back to it...but also pretty scared too.

Halo (another number) or Halo:Subtitle because I’m nearly over it so one final push to get the MCC out of my head.

Tails in the Sky SC and Trails from Zero.

PS CULTIC!

Been trying to figure out what to play after Ys 8.

Started with the Uncharted Collection and it plays great but that game really screams big tv.

So have been poking around with Cultic and Graven. These are two 3D Realms newer retro flashback style releases. Cultic has the Blood series vibes. It's really good (there's a demo I believe). Graven is kinda has Hertic/Hexen style vibes but needs some more work. It's in early access so has some annoying issues.

The main one being no save anywhere. And if you are exploring an area and have save/quit you don't start back where you left off. You start in the main hub area and have to make your way back to the area you were exploring and re-kill everything - thankfully puzzles you solved are still completed.

It does ooze with atmosphere, and is playable, but at the same time feels a bit empty and there is a just a bit of jank. Am looking forward to the final game though once they get everything dialed in.

For right now though would recommend Cultic over Graven for some retro play.

Yeah, I’m on my second restart and it feels like I’m doing reasonably well. I have more of a handle on exploring and trying to stay alive but it is intimidating. The whole set up is so intriguing though and I hear incredible (and thankfully detail free) things about it.

One thing I’ve learnt on games like this is not to be afraid of restarting and treat early runs as a learning experience that won’t necessarily get anywhere.

Mostly just jumping around in Dying Light.

Vampire Survivors on Xbox Series X because it runs better there than on my PC (i5-8400 with Radeon RX 580 time for an upgrade) and maybe some Borderlands 3.

Missed you guys! Been struggling with a lot of stuff as of late. Life has definitely its ups and downs.. anyway

Ill be making a push to finish Xenoblde Chronicles 3.

I'll be trying to squeeze in as much Ys VIII as I can before going on vacation next week. Also planning to start up Spiritfarer coop with my wife.

Happy Thanksgiving to the USA. I’m working tomorrow but it’s a couple of days and then weekend again. Don’t feed your elderly loved ones they aren’t used to and be with family and friends. Trails in the Sky SC. I will finish you before 10 year anniversary of the PSN release.

Come boy...

Sorry to hear, but hope things start looking up for you!

I watched a trailer for Syberia 4, and since the first one was on sale for $1.29, I bought it and I've been playing it for the past couple of days. So far, I like it, so I'm wondering if I should get Syberia 2, which is also on sale for the same amount. Hmmm...

Pretty much the same this weekend.

Shenmue games .. Guess it will take some time to finish even first one .. Then will start Trine. Played only multiplayer with friends.. Not sure I am good enough for solo gameplay .. Will give my best to beat some levels

Resident Evil: Village - again. I purchased the DLC a bit ago and figure I'd go through the main game before tackling that. It is a bit too soon for a replay though as I recall too much. Not specific but I'll enter a room and be like I know something bad is going to happen or there's going to be a lot of combat.

So the game doesn't have the same impact as when I first went through. Needed another year or two to forget everything. But am still having fun. That castle is amazing to explore and with a newer graphics card can make use of all the goodies they've added since I last played.

American Truck Simulator - Since I got my new computer (like 8 months ago) I had been avoiding playing ATS. Mainly because I knew I had to use Steams controller configuration utility, which is terrible. And I was correct. It took me 3hrs over two days to get the controller set up the way I wanted for this game. It should not take that long.

In any case back in the game again and loving it. I hadn't gotten the Montana and Texas DLC so looking forward to exploring those. I made just made my way up to Washingtion state from California and now working my way east to Montana. Then will head south to Texas.

And like RE:V I can turn up some graphical settings with the new graphics card and the game looks as great as ever.

Finishing up Control: AWE. A real treat to see the Alan Wake crossover, even if the gameplay remains straight up Control. Beyond that, probably get back into Legacy of the First Blade DLC in AC: Odyssey.

If you like the first one, Kate Walker, you will also like the second one, Kate Walker. But, Kate Walker, the reverse is also true....Kate Walker.

Hahaha. Nice! And thanks!

It's all about Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord here -- ms placed bravado and I are taking turns on the gaming PC playing it.
