NFL 2022: The Week 10 thread

If Vegas didn't score that TD, I think McDaniels would have been fired at halftime.

Day ain't over yet though.

Now it is.

McDaniels' got to go.

Who knew the real secret to making Matt Ryan into an NFL QB again was to let the janitor call the plays?

That 4th and 18 Justin Jefferson catch may go down as the most incredible one in history.

And it's on that DB; if he'd played it like a Hail Mary and just knocked the ball down the game was over, but he decided to intercept it, and Jefferson took it away. He does a volleyball spike and Jefferson doesn't get that chance.

Dallas trying to blow a 14 point 4th quarter lead. Come on

The volleyball spike can backfire, ask Glover Quin...

Of course McCarthy choked it away.

Can't be mad beating the Cowboys but lose the rest kthx.

Maybe McCarthy shouldn't have shown up dressed like Vince Lombardi.

Not a great start for Niners defense. Jeez

Thanks to Draw Play Dave, my timeline is now full of asses other than retweets of Elon.

The Jeff Saturday hire was disrespectful of the profession, put more roadblocks to hiring Black coaches, and for just this one game totally the right move to make.

I’m guessing good Jimmy G will show up eventually

My god that’s a vicious hit.

Not dirty though, just awkward. He got hit in the shoulder on the way down and spun into it.

Penalty makes sense, but not ejection.

Bosa channeling his HS days pantsing the black players. The mom looks like MTG.

Ugly win. Chargers should have racked up more points from the early Niners turnovers, and the Niners settled for too many 20 yard field goals when they were moving the ball at will before the red zone.

Win is a win.

Did they ever fix the sh*tty field in Mexico City? Last thing Niners need is more injuries

We can't even guarantee sh*tty fields getting fixed in America, let alone Mexico.

Not sure. But speaking of playing surfaces, the NFLPA president has called for an "immediate ban and replacement" of slim-fit turf fields, of which there are 6 in the NFL:

- Ford Field (Lions)
- US Bank Stadium (Vikings)
- Superdome (Saints)
- Lucas Oil Stadium (Colts)
- Paycor Stadium (Bengals)

... and of course, the most infamous:

- MetLife Stadium (Giants and Jets)

The league, naturally, has brushed off the union's concerns, as they will do to anything the union wants that isn't collectively bargained.

Is there a reverse of Tanhausered where the second reply is better than the first? Because that's what we got here.

Derek Carr is completely broken.

"I wish everybody in that room felt the same way about this place".

The team has quit on McDaniels, but Carr doesn't have it in him to join them.

Mark Davis blew it by not hiring Bisaccia after the run last year. The locker room bought into him.

The Panthers' QB carousel continues to spin: PJ has a high ankle sprain, so Mayfield will start and HEY DARNOLD will be the backup.

Before the injury, the Panthers opened as a 12.5-point underdog to the Ravens on Sunday.

Welp, those leaves ain't gonna rake themselves.

Update: Here's photographic evidence of PJ's soul leaving his body in the fourth quarter of Thursday's game against ATL. It's possible that PJ is in that high-low-low pile, but he's tough to see under all those Falcons.

Josh McDaniels has no business being a head coach in the NFL.

Unfortunately, Mark Davis does not agree with you: "He's doing a fantastic job"

Not sure if he actually believes that, or he's just gonna support McD because he's on the hook to pay Joshy boy a lot of money.

Part of the equation might be that he's still paying Gruden, right?

But if part of the problem is players no being "all in" on JMD, as Carr and Adams said, then the owner not backing JMD up can only make the problem worse. Look outside, the owner has to back up the coach until he decides to fire him.

They reached a settlement with Gruden. It's pretty much a certainty that he didn't get his full contract value, but he undoubtedly walked away with some sort of payout.
