[News] Post a D&D Picture

Previous incarnations of Cleveland/P&C/D&D have had an image thread, to handle political cartoons and other image-based stuff that doesn't belong in the general post-a-picture threads.

If any of them spawn an extended discussion, please spawn it off into its own thread. Replies to non-picture replies should take the form of a link pointing to a post on a different discussion thread.

And I shouldn't have to say it, but the images still need to abide by the rules.

Re: phone polling and not answering the phone. It's everyone. Spam calls have created quite a crisis for the polling industry.

Planet Money had a nice podcast on this topic recently:

Interesting, might give that a listen later today.

Speaking for myself, it's not spam calls that keep me from answering the phone, I just hate phone conversations, period.

I look at that and I think to myself, there is no way Florida and Texas should be red. (Ohio too, who just elected JD Vance for chrissake!)

They wouldn't be in fair and unbiased system, but its amazing what they can achieve between gerrymandering and voter disenfranchisement.

Spam texts are far more frustrating for me lately, especially since I have been effectively oncall for a customer project for two months so every f*cking time I get a text my blood pressure spikes.

That is awesome to hear JLS about the empty seats. I kind of had to look at who was supporting the red tide and their schoolboard suggestions to determine who I SHOULDN'T vote for as their summaries were almost written the same.

Thanks. Yes, they're "Back to the basics" theme was a big tell. It looks like your suburb got at least one of them, based on their endorsement at the conservative Minnesota Parents Alliance .

Apologies for being to subtle ;P

On another snarky note: Ohio is now the capitol of Gilead.

If you have an Android phone, you should be able to specify a different notification sound for your on-call texts. Unless those come from a different number every time in which case, fuuuuck that noise.

I don't exclude iPhones because they don't have that feature, I'm excluding them because I don't know if they do or not.

They do have that feature. You create a contact for the phone number(s) and then have the option of assigning the contact a particular "Text Tone".
