I always wear a kevlar glove when using a Mandolin.
My wife needs one of those gloves.

Mine too. She doesn’t cook often, but when she does I’m always a little on edge because she seems to cut herself so often.

Yeah. She complains that the edges I put on our Shun knives are dangerous, but I remind her that a knife's job is to be sharp. I think she's taken the tip off her finger twice in a month.

Now I know what I'm getting my wife for Christmas.
....though she almost certainly needs them before then. Hmm...

Why... why only one?
Because, though not impossible, it is pretty difficult to cut yourself on the hand that’s holding the knife

You clearly have never met my wife.
I bought two pairs a few hours ago.
Yeah, we got a pair for the same reason you all did.
I'll admit, I donned our pair of those when I was carving pumpkins. Mostly because I started using a push-style linoleum cutter, and already had given myself a good cut after 3 minutes.
In returning to F-19 Stealth Fighter after some decades, I recently found out that there was a STRATEGY GUIDE for the dang thing, so of course I had to have it.
Cannot WAIT to read it.
Well, I technically pre-ordered this a while back, but it showed up this week...
Hey me too! Now I just need to get it back from my kid.
So I fidget with my fingers a lot, and for decades this has led to me ruining many t-shirts as I've fidgeted with the bottom hem so much it begins to come apart. My wife suggested I get a fidget toy to try out to see if it helps so I got this one:
So far I REALLY like it. Might buy more if I still like it in a week, for the car and such.
The theme song to the French version of the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon. Why? Because it's an absolute banger of a tune:
oh man. That's a blast from the past. I'm old
They just released some figures of the characters from that show. Check out entertainment earth

I got this for myself and it arrived today. The instruction booklet is pretty great (linked for full size).

Oh that is sweet! I liked it so much I ordered two more, one for my car and one for my satchel. I didn't have it yesterday while driving around and was trying SO HARD not to fidget with my shirt. I hope you get as much use out of it a I have!
So that F-19 handbook was such a delight to read, and so useful in the game itself, I'm slowly picking up the others in the series as I find affordable copies:

I just had an amazing failure of reading comprehension, where you were talking about fidget toys but I thought you were talking about books on air-combat strategy.
(Though depending on how much time you spend stuck in traffic, maybe keeping a couple of strategy books in the car could also make sense for you?)
More homework!

I also got one. I like it, but for anybody else looking at it, it’s about the size of a baseball. I wish it was smaller, but it’s really good to fidget with.
It is an odd size but you get used to it.

Does it have a button for windshield wipers?

It makes me far too happy that I get that reference
I still low-key regret getting rid of my Steel Battalion controller.
