Let the planning begin! Below is a living document where folks can plan events and games as one method of planning. There are others who prefer to use scheduling bots on the Gamers With Jobs Discord Server. Whichever you prefer, be sure to post about it here so we can let each other know about it and hang out.

For planning purposes, it can also help make sure we're not overlapping any time slots for big events.

Throughout the weekend, we'll also host live streams over on our GamersWithJobs Twitch Channel, including appearances from podcasters and other GWJ content creators, as well as the regular rotation of channels to host and highlight. We'll post streaming schedules a little closer to the dates. If you'd like to stream on the GWJ Twitch account, please reach out to Amoebic via PM, or email call (at) gamerswithjobs.com to coordinate the schedule. You will need to have your own Twitch account and abide by our Code of Conduct while streaming as GWJ.

A common question asked is "Can we play on Friday instead?" Absolutely you can. We love a pre-game gamer. If there's a date/time that ends up working better for your group, great! What's important is playing games with your Gamers With Jobs people. Make sure to note it in the sheet or message Amoebic so they can spread awareness.

Thanks so much for your love, enthusiasm, and support of GWJ. It means the world to us that you would consider us as part of your home. We look forward to gaming with you for IGWJD 2021! As things get scheduled, we can update the main OP.

Hi all!

As teased in GWJCC last week, I plan on hosting a friendly trivia session about all things gaming (with jobs) during IGWJD.

The tentative time for the even is Sunday Oct 23 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 10pm CET. This is a time where I'd hope people in most time zones could join.

How to play: The game will be hosted through Trivnow. You can play through your web browser on any device using a link I will post closer to the date. You can also download the Trivnow mobile app from the Google Play or iOS App Store if you prefer. Either way, it is super quick to create an account and choose your name. The game will also be broadcast on the GWJ Discord in a voice channel TBD. This is where I will make announcements and interact with you so please join!

The game: There are four rounds, with 10 questions in each round. The themes are:
• She’s a 10, but…
• The Most Ambitious Crossover Event
• Videogame Quotes
• Memes!

The game is designed to take under two hours to play, including time we have allotted for setup and getting started, reading scores, etc. It will hopefully be less if we can all be on time and set up quickly (wink, wink).

The game has questions about games from different eras but it will focus on well-known games and franchises. It is designed for solo play, but it’s ok to team up with one or two other people if you prefer. Trivnow has a team-up function or you can use your chat method of choice.

Last but not least, please don’t cheat!! In other words, please don’t Google or search for an answer anywhere other than your own brain. There are no prizes, we’re just here for some fun with our community!

I look forward to seeing you there!

I'm thinking to host Jackbox games on discord on Saturday, will settle on exact time shortly!

I suck at parking multiplayer?

I’m hoping to play some Ghost of Tsushima Legends mode on the 22nd. Thatguy43 and I have been hoping to have a go for a while and this is the ideal opportunity. I’d like to get a regular group going but even to try it out for a session or two would be fun.

It is likely to be a morning thing in the US and an afternoon evening thing in the UK and Europe. We can pin it down a precise time when we have an idea of who is joining in.

Let me know if you’re interested.

I believe at the moment it's not possible to party up and play with a group of friends. It's announced as upcoming in a next update on the main menu screen of the game. If it somehow comes out in the next two weeks, I'd be up for this.

Sadly it looks unlikely that Blaseball will be back in time to call a game during this event.

Hi all! Added a Stellaris strategy run for Saturday early evening. If you're a strategy player or have the game in your inventory and always wanted to play it, come join us!

Updated date/time for Discord Jackbox to be TOMORROW Saturday Oct 22 at 7pm ET/6pm CT/5pm PT. It will not be streamed on twitch, just to the discord channels, so we don't have to worry about things like "decorum" or "taste" for the most part.

Sorry guys - I just realized I have a conflict in late afternoon so I'm cancelling the Stellaris play together. Also wasn't getting much traction.

I also pulled it from the list.

ThatGuy42 and I had a fun session in Ghost of Tsushima Legends mode and are planning to play more. Considering we played this morning (Sunday) my time and late evening (Saturday) ThatGuy’s time and the clocks in the UK went back over night, I think we need some kind of award for advanced, cross timezone time calculation.

Jackbox was fun last night and I'm looking forward to some Wreckfest shenanigans this evening!

Glad you had fun Higgledy crossing those time zones. Just in case you are planning another session before you realize that it's actually next weekend that the clocks change here in the UK - you might want to recalibrate your timezone time calculation

Is it really? That would explain me seeming to be an hour early.

Thanks for the heads up or I would have been even more confused next weekend.
