The Elder Scrolls Online Catch-All

Two quick questions:
1. Any general tips for someone starting this game for the first time? (If it helps I'm a Skyrim vet)

2. At this point early on, should I dive in and get the expansion packs? If so, which ones (Blackwood, Greymoor, Elsweyr, Summerset, Morrowind)

Thanks, and looking forward to some fun times in Tamriel!

There’s a ton of content just in the base game so it’s not really necessary to get into the expansions, though I personally think most of the expansions are improved over the base game. FWIW, if you buy the Blackwood expansion all the previous expansions come bundled with it.

No real advice other than to not worry too much about your build early on, just find what works for you. Skill points seem like they’ll be a limiting factor when you start playing but there’s more than enough to spend however you want. I have two full builds worth of skills plus all the crafting trees maxed out and I still have dozens of skill points left over.
The ability points that you use to raise your health/stamina/magic is another matter though, as those are limited, so you may want to hold off on spending those until you know what your primary stat is going to be.

Both of which can be reset for a Gold cost at any time (when you can afford it). As always gold will seem scarce early on, but by the time you're deciding on a stam or magika main, you'll have enough gold to reset anyway.

Bottom line, don't worry too much about min/max'ing, for PvE content at least. Just have some great fun!

Get ESO+ and play whatever locale you're interested in (tho the latest expansion with Oblivion gate requires purchase atm, all the rest are rolled into ESO+).

As always, I am Sydhart in ESO. I'd like to get enough for a trial if anyone is interested. Shoot me a tell in game and if you have a spot we have a clan you can join.

Rise from your grave!
I reinstalled and even subbed.
It's been a good time sink so far. A lot has changed since I last played. Probably around when the One Tamreial or whatever.

I see one person occasionally on for the guild. Anyone else likely to be on somewhat often?

What system do you play on? From what I can tell there's no crossplay.

PC, but I already burnt out on it. Definitely worth a month to come back, but not long term.

Really got back into this big time 4/5 weeks ago and have only stopped to play Elex 2.

I decided to do the story DLC stuff but not bother with the dungeon dlc, I might sign up to ESO+ for month and bash through all of that stuff. Created a second character, did the latest DLC and then went to Morrowind using a different build. Bloody love that place.

Morrowind chapters were brilliant

I finished SW:TOR's latest content addition, WoW is winding down, I bounced hard off of Elden Ring and Lost Ark is really becoming tiresome. I actually forgot I had this installed and am going to give it a go.

Has anyone found a cheap way of buying the collectors edition upgrades, not the DLC content just the upgrade parts? They seem to be 2100 crowns each on the store which is about £15 each. Could get it slightly cheaper by subscribing to ESO and getting free monthly crowns but this route is still pricey.

A lot more details have come out about High Isle:

After watching the twitch channel, I like the overall story themes and new companions, along with the Mediterranean zones. They also showed a GWENT style card game. Nothing ground breaking but I’m interested in coming back.

Has anyone checked out High Isle? Hearing good things about it and am debating about coming back. Then again I’m still on my FF 14 kick so maybe not.

Yeah I'm checking it out, but its been so long since I played regularly that I've (rightfully) been kicked from my guilds and I'm not sure how much effort I want to put into the social side of this game again. I'm subbed for at least a month though so if anyone's on PC NA let me know. Seems like this thread has a bunch of people that play this sometimes, but never at the same time.

Tales of Tribute is pretty fun.

Social side? I’ve played on and off for years and have never interacted with anyone.

I mean, kinda same, but who's going to see my outfits and all the junk I pile in my house?

Snap! I've had a few requests to join in a dungeon but really prefer going solo so I always decline. Never bothered with a house or most of that stuff which some may enjoy but it isn't for me.

Hypothetically speaking, if I were to reinstall ESO like I'm doing right now, what content would be available to me / what content would be locked off? And are there any recommended purchases at this point in the game's cycle? I have literally no idea what level my character is, or where I am in the main story quests; looks like I haven't played since 2016.

I have "ESO Gold Edition" on my account already, whatever that means.

I see that "Collection: High Isle" is on sale right now for $30, which looks like it includes:
* Blackwood Chapter
* Greymoor Chapter
* Elsweyr Chapter
* Summerset Chapter
* Morrowind Chapter

I'm not 100% sure if it still works this way BUT if you paid for a sub you got all the DLC for free during the sub. So if that is still true you could sub for a month and play DLC to your heart's content.

Hi all,

I've gotten back into the game getting ready for Necrom and would love company if anyone's playing. Trying to get up to at least CP 160 to do the harder content.

So. I am @dmalrajabi on the PC NA. CP 1300. I came back after a year and a half gone. I am a master crafter with *EVERYTHING*. Looking for a little gold? Training gear? Send me a msg via my ESO mailbox, friend or PM me.

I quit this game ages ago... The grind was real. That said standing invitation if anyone needs anything... I have *everything*.
