Naturalistas - Liya
This is a doll from a new company owned by a black woman that wanted to introduce black dolls with more natural black hair.
Look at all that hair, I love it. Face is nice and the body has a more human shape than the average body.
My only negative would be it only has 5 points of articulation. Arms and legs go up and down. Head goes left and right. This is fine for kids though who are going toss her around and beat their brothers and sisters with it. Also good for adults that mainly just going to display it or are fine with basic barbies. I haven't decided if I will rip her head off and stick it on a MTM body. But I really like her body shape so maybe not.
I give this 9 WTF am I going to do with all this hair out of 10.
and stick it on a MTM body.
? ? ?
? ? ?
(kidding aside, that is some awesome hair)
I just bought this for the trek outfits. I wasn't planning on keeping the box but thought it would be fun to switch out the dolls.
Barbie and Ken are now complaining that I gone woke. Hey barbie, hey ken I didn't throw you away. I gave you nice dresses to wear. Plus you got like a hundred jobs. Let someone else be something for a change. These two are unbelievable.
Anyway I paid $30 for the set. It came with a phaser, tricorder, and two communicators. I took note that Ken had a plastic layer under his clothes but Barbie didn't. I'm thinking this was to protect the doll from staining. Maybe Barbie isn't prone to staining or her outfit isn't. They both had the basic 5 points of articulation bodies. I'll use them for the my new learning project.
Since I love the uniforms I would give this set 9 tribbles out of 10.
A Arcee KO Robot Rose. She comes with two extra breast plates. One to have more human like boobs and one to fix the weird looking long neck lower boobs she has by default. Pretty much a perfect copy of the original with the same good and bad points. I still like the bumblebee arcee better and hope they make a oversized KO of her. This is my second favorite Arcee but I don't have all or even most of them. I only have four, two bikes and two cars.
This only has a few real problems. It comes with four extra faces but they all look the same. There is no point having different faces if they all look almost exactly the same. Another problem is her waist is on a loose ball joint that causes her to fall over because of the big backpack. This is easy to fix with nail polish or glue.
Hexa Gear Governor Lat Black Rabbit model kit
Attack on Titan
Taking a bath and a bike ride with a friend at the same time.
Strike a pose
More her size
Praying to toy god
This is the Black Rabbit Hexa Gear governor. Comes in at 3 inches. Looks okay as is but could use some paint. This is the smallest and easiest kit I have put together. I did have to use a magnifying glass twice but everything fit together perfectly, Only used glue on the headgear.
Model is very posable. Neck, Head, shoulders, elbows, wrist, thigh, waist, and ankle articulation. Knees and elbows are only single jointed but they still get very good range. Unfortunately there is no ankle pivot it just goes back and forth.
Model comes with 3 heads none of which have painted on faces. We get a clean human head. A head with face gear around it and a rabbit head. We also get a rabbit face mask. I haven't decided if I will try to paint eyes on this thing. It is so small I may not bother.
We get weapons with hands molded into them and weapons without hands. We have four swords and 5 guns. All the guns have molded on knives. I think I'm going to cut the knives off two of the guns. You can store the guns on her thighs and the swords on her back but only one at a time. The swords look kind of the same but two are thicker.
A optional back nut allows you used to stands with her. I'm not sure what size stand but a figma stand would work.
All in all I like this model kit. I bought two different bikes for her that can also transform into dogs. I haven't gotten around to building those yet.
I give this 8 out of ten carrots. Note that these models come in different versions in different colors and with different or more gear. Prices will be between $15 and $30 dollars. The one I have was $15 but it was on sell. For the size I think $15 is the max you should pay even for the kits with extra stuff. Also this is a good beginner set as long as you have a fixed magnifying glass.
Armored Puppet Mr. J
Get it? His hand is a J.
Meet my little friend.
Is that a boat?
Unfortunately this is out of stock at the time of this review but if it comes back in you should buy it. You get two robot pirate skeletons that you can customize many ways,. You also get a ton of weapons and part of a ship to use as a display stand.
The articulation is pretty good. They look good without having to paint them but you can to make them pop. They also come with water slide eye decals. The cannon transforms into a hand cannon or barrel. This is a great set.
I did have some problems though. The chest for the captain kept popping off when I moved the head down. I fixed it by cutting some of the chest off at the top. Looks perfect and doesn't pop off now. I also had to glue down the armor on left shin.
The display ship is great but I do wish it had the ability to lock the figures down. It can be hard to stand the figures on the plastic ship. It almost defeats the purpose of having a display.
I give this 8 sea shanties out of 10.
Water slide eyes
I took a break from model building to paint and put on decals. Here I placed my first water slide decals. In this case it was the eyes. All in all it was very easy even taking into account the decals were super small. The model is only 3 inches high.
I did have a couple of problems. I lost a eye. I dropped a eye but recovered it. One eye separated in the water and I had to fish for it but it went on okay. I nearly lost the eyes multiple times trying to dry them wit cotton swabs and while trying to place sealant on them.
The one really bad thing is I actually tried to put eyes on two of these models. The eyes on the second model did not stick and went missing. I did exactly the same thing as the first model except that the water wasn't warm. I'm not sure if that was the problem. I have another set with extra eyes so I'll try again with warm water. If that doesn't work I will try painting the eyes on.
that's a spicy meatball.

LOL. Might want to double check the thread title.

This is what happens when I search threads for "Lego" late at night and just pick the first result.
Hasbro has their selfie series live. I tried it but couldn't get it to look anything like me. Hopefully they'll add a editor. I made some toons that looked really close to me in games like the sims, tiger woods golf, and skyrim.
Review for I’m Kelsey Naturalistas doll.
This is my second Naturalistas doll. This one looks just as great as the first one. The signature hair is fabulous. Sadly only five points of articulation. I haven’t tried a body swap with a made to move barbie because her body looks better than barbie even if it doesn’t move nearly as well as made to move dolls.
I tried on a few barbie outfits. None of the shoes fit but a few clothes fit. Your mileage will vary since barbie clothes come in multiple sizes for the multiple sized dolls. If you are like me and have a bunch a different dolls of different sizes you probably won’t have a problem fitting her with something in barbie clothes line.
One of the best looking barbies to be released. Stunning deep dark skin tone. Tall body that really works with the included outfit. And she is made to move. Hair is nice also.
Only one big problem. They glued the skirt onto her. This left a sticky glue piles on her. I tried using water and paper towels to remove the glue which worked but also removed some of her skin.
This would have been perfect if they didn’t glue the skirt on to her. With the glue this is a 4 out of 5.
The Wicked Witch dressed up in xmas gear.
Just dressing dolls in xmas stuff while watching Its a Wonderful Life.
Hely Cancy Portable Shooting Practice Target bag
Basically a mesh bag with holes in it and with little flaps to cover the holes. This comes with a liner to make it rigid but I’m not using it because I like it limp. I’m using super bouncy balls as ammo and if I use the liner the balls bounce but without the liner the balls just fall straight down which is good when I miss the targets.
I got this because of the targets. I was using a box lined with towel and different things as targets. This method was great when I missed but when I hit the targets the balls would bounce all over the place. This mesh bags solves the problem of balls bouncing high and low when I hit a target. And when I miss the target they just fall straight down.
For $11 dollars I think it was a good buy.
Bishop The Last X-Man
Very Badass Bishop we have here for black history forever. Comes with two extra heads one sporting his bald look and the other with angry eyes. Also comes with multiple hands, power effects, guns, a knife, bombs, and a communicator or his time device. Yeah I can’t tell if one item is his time device or a communicator, doesn’t matter it looks awesome either way. All his gear except a extra clip and bomb fits on his person.
I have seen many reports of bad broken joints but the one I have is perfect. All joints move correctly and nothing came broken. His soft goods look great. The hard stuff looks great. The cape is kind of weird, they should have made it cloth especially considering how much this bad boy cost. Still I think the cape works for the most part.
There were a few problems with this that I believe is a problem with every Bishop figure. First he comes with two right trigger hands which is a obvious mistake. The hands are exactly the same. One hand should have been for left side or it should have been a knife holding hand. None of the hands can hold the knife and he can’t hold his guns in his left hand. Then his big gun doesn’t sit securely on his back holster. You’ll be knocking it off a lot so save it for last. Even when put in last it will probably fallout because there is zero tension, a minor breath will send it falling. The last problem is with one of the special effects. On effect is suppose to sit in his hand which it can do but it doesn’t lock into his hand. It is clear to me that it was suppose to have finger holes to peg it into his hand. The bottom kind of looks like they started to make a hand indent but shat the bed before finishing the job. Every review I have seen had these same problems so I think the entire line have these problems. Still a good figure. You can use stinky tack or something to keep the effects and knife in his hand and you can do the same for the gun on his back.
I give this 8 time travelers out of 10. No time like the present to pick this guy up.
I am rereading Age of Apocalypse right now, and Bishop's got a key role in that storyline, so this was a cool write up. That thing looks great!

Barbie Extra Minis #7. This is the second one of these I bought and my favorite of the two. Articulation is pretty good for a small doll. She has elbow and knee joints so you can pose her. I think she looks pretty but having extra cute printed in her hair is kind of weird. The hair has some product in it making it hard. Maybe the words will come out if I washed it.
I love the outfit except for the backpack. The backpack looks good but it hangs down to her socks. This just looks dumb to me. I might try cutting the straps and gluing them back at half the length or seeing if the backpack can fit a bigger doll and not look wrong.
Marvel Legends Nakia Attuma BAF wave
The face sculpt looks great. Articulation is a step up from the first black panther figures. However, she seems to be out of scale, a little on the small side. I haven’t open any other new black panther figures yet but she is smaller than all the old black panther figures I have.
I'm not sold on the suit so might use her head on a different body.
One of marvel legends best figures. The head sculpt is amazing. Very easy to pose. It looks great. My one major downside is the waist swivel which is the same as WWE wrestler figures. When you twist the waist the figure becomes misaligned in a ugly way. Maybe some gripping hands would have been nice but he rarely sports weapons.
I have him on Darkseid’s throne. He is a little to small for it. His feet dangles from it. Still good for pictures since you can just cut the feet off. His real throne cost to much. This one was just ten bucks and came with Lex Luther.
I love taking picture of with this figure. Highly recommended I give it 9 Wakandas Forever out of 10.
MDLX Cliffjumper arrived today!
You can see him here with his alternate head and some of his alternate hands:
After posing, he wanted a picture with our fox jar:
Then, he decided to check out some of my manga:
Next, he found some zombies (and an admittedly dusty shelf):
Also on said shelf, he battled an octopus:
Then he wanted to hang out with Catwoman(s):
And he concluded his tour of the house by posing in front of some of my art supplies:
All in all, he had a busy day!
Alas, MDLX figures do not transform --that's the price you pay for their awesome look and intricate detail.
I'm fixing to make a custom Poison Ivy using black widow marvel legend head. Does anyone know of a good cheap body or not to expensive body that could work. Note the extent of my customization skills go as far as removing limbs. I can't really paint or sculpt but I might try on a cheap figure. I've been searching the sell sites for fodder.
Been hankering for a poison ivy for the same reason I have Joker mainly as prop for Harley Quinn. The ones that I want cost like triple now so I thought maybe I could make one.
I had been wanting this guy for the past 38 years. This is a newer, much better looking version than the toy that stole my heart back in 1985, but it still counts!
Childhood wish fulfilled!
