What are you playing this weekend?

Spider-man still. 84% complete. Don't think I'll 100% it if that requires getting 3 stars on all those challenges. Not going back and doing those.

Pinball FX. Specifically Bride of Pinbot table. Realized the other day I didn't get the 1 billion point shot. So will be attempting that over the long weekend.

I've unlocked Game Pass Ultimate so there are so many options on the table on top of a stacked line-up.

Xbox:
- Chorus
- Gears of War 4
- Mass Effect 3 (multiplayer)

PC:
- Mass Effect 2 (legendary edition)
- Rollerdrome
- Midnight Fight Express

Over the past ten years I've played about forty hours of Rimworld. Then, somewhat at random I decided to give it another go. I put about 100 hours into a new one with Rimworld of Magic, a mod that does what it sounds like. It was fun playing with a summoner and some muggles but after a bit I got a weird inspiration to play as the reclusive Dr. Soong. I got a couple of robots mods, tweaked my start to support this scenario. Now Soong researches all day on ever improved robots while the bots keep the base going. It's fun and strange! So, probably a bunch of that this weekend.

Now that I'm pretty much done with Immortality (playing it, at least - I'm still thinking about it all the time), I'm jumping back into Elden Ring and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

In Elden Ring, I'm slowly making my way through Stormveil Castle. I have no idea how far through it I am exactly, but I feel like I've made good progress maybe. And then a tough enemy comes along and I don't know. In general with this game, I feel like I'm that Indian guy who spent 20+ years digging a road through a mountain.

As for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - I think I've finally reached a point where I understand the game! It's a big deal for me, as I'm now at a point where I'm not constantly struggling to figure things out and remember how to do things. I can just play the game and enjoy it now. And it's such a good game.

Also, what kind of dummy decides to take on two 100+ hour games at the same time?

I did that about a year ago... Then faded and never finished. Probably have to relearn the whole thing if I ever go back

I'm hoping to finally try the new Extreme Trial in Final Fantasy XIV this weekend, along with maybe maxing my Island Sanctuary rank? We'll see if that's possible.

I also really want to finish Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. Three floors of the dungeon left, and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

With the summer ending soon and the fact that this may well be the last nice weekend of the year*, videogaming will be minimal: catching up in Persona 3 Portable, and maybe a few missions in Gravity Rush 2. Other than that, it's biking and jogging.

* Next weekend might be nice too, but I'll be on call, so won't be able to enjoy much of it.

I’m not sure. Hopefully more co-op Orcs Must Die 3 and Divinity Original Sin 2 continue to be engaging and fun.

Solo gameplay wise, I’ve tried out a few PS Plus games and they are all vying for my attention. Spider-Man: Miles Morales I really enjoyed the start of this game but I seem to be in a ‘dipping into indies’ kind of a mood so I may leave this for a while. Bad North is a fun Rogue-like but I have to be in the mood. Hard West (actually I bought that one but it cost pennies) because it’s turn based and it set in the wild west. I’ve really enjoyed the one or two fights I’ve had and I can see me easily playing through it in anticipation of the second game. Raji: An Ancient Epic (actually I bought this one as well ) The game has recently been patched, improving many aspects of the game. I didn’t play it before the patch so I can’t compare and contrast but it seems to play very well now. The combat is fun and I love the setting and style.

TF2: I still love it. I really want to get a detonator/flare gun for pyro.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2/3. Look at the time.

Dad Nap TM : I’m just resting my eyes

I'll be playing a little bit of Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark and maybe some other things here and there on my 3DS. Really trying to make a bee-line for the end of this multiple Club pick since I will be traveling for a week and won't be able to play the game after next Monday save for maybe the last day of the month. A tall order, this.

An Inquisitor's work is never done.

Yeah good luck. Trying to finish over here too. Nearly on last chapter

After grazing the fields of Game Pass I've settled on the excellent Yakuza: Like a Dragon. I'm really into that right now but I'm also trying to make progress on my Mass Effect 2 Legendary Edition insanity replay. The patch 1.6 release for Cyberpunk 2077 also has not helped matters and I've been dipping my toes back into my Street Kid playthrough on hard. Lots of RPG action for sure.

(I’m assuming you are playing lots of Total Warhammer III like I have, even if it is super buggy.)

Spider-man. Finished the main game with 99%. Not sure exactly what I was missing but good enough. Finished the first DLC, which was fun. But I'm finding Spider-man is wearing out its welcome in the second DLC. Maxed out all gadgets and what not back in the main game so its getting a bit too samey.

Also picked up Code Vien as I had a bit of an itch to play another Dark Souls type. It was on sale last week on Humble Bundle and somehow, I had a $3 credit so ended up being super cheap and figured why not. Only started the game. Character creation was a bit too detailed. Really only got to the first real "mission" in the game. Decided to hold off and finish Spidy fully before starting anything new.

Spiderman or Steelrising? Maybe Ng+ of Soul hackers if I want turn based.

More games need powdered wigs.

I'm trying very hard to not do this, but I can also totally see this happening. With the first one, I put in around 90-100 hours, then moved house and just forgot about it by the time I settled. I'm genuinely enjoying this one, so I'm trying to keep some momentum while I've got it. Regardless, it'll be a long time before I see the end of it, if ever.

2 games: TW3 and 40K Inquisitor

Happy Friday everyone.

This weekend I'll be leveling Monk in Final Fantasy XIV and making progress in Dragon Quest XI. If I can squeeze it in, I might also try to do another level in Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.

Traveling so I will be doing Switch stuff or emulation. Xenoblade 3 and Loop Hero.

Same as last few weekends: Gravity Rush 2 and Persona 3 Portable.

Yars Recharged and Game Type DX. Probably some Halo in some form too.

Cyberpunk 2077
Yakuza: Like a Dragon
Tekken 7

Fallout 4. I have had a couple false starts with this one, but it is clicking a bit better this time around. There's still the glitchyness, but I am not as frustrated playing it this time around. If I had any faith that they'd remaster this for PS5, I'd probably just wait.

I'm taking some time off of FF XIV, and instead am going to try the Total Warhammer III - Immortal Empires beta yet again (had a hard lock at end-of-turn cycling that lost me an in-progress campaign... but I think a recent hotfix patch solved the problem that was breaking the AI.)

I'm also going to get officially underway on my second The Outer Worlds playthrough (this time with DLC!)

Probably good deal of Diablo III on the Switch, Star Fleet II on the laptop and Taxinaut on the PC.

Yeah for some reason that seems to be the common theme. It took me 4 retries before the game clicked. I was in deep after that. Did end up burning out on the Nuka World DLC and never finished the main quest there. It was neat but between the main game and the Far Harbor DLC, which I loved, I was a little Fallout weary going in to Nuka World.

I started up Spiritfarer on Switch. It's delightful.

I traded one "code" game for another. Never got around to putting any time in to Code Vein. I got distracted by Cross Code. There was a big sale for it (Steam?) where it was like $10 for everything but the soundtrack. Tried the demo to check it out and was immediately drawn in. So picked up the full game.

Haven't had much time to play it this week but put in 2 or 3 hours and those have been so fun! A nice modern take on a retro action RPG. So looking forward to putting some time in to that over the weekend.

Poor Spider-Man. I'm on the last DLC. About 34% in according to my save. I just haven't had the time or the desire to finish it. It's just more of the same and the DLC story-line is kinda boring at this point. Know I'll hate finish it though. Just too close.

Gonna continue my streak of finishing games I put down years ago by knocking out the last of Pillars of Eternity and then going back to Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order, which I bailed on shortly after it came out.
