Name that GAME Thread

I didn't think anyone else had ever played that game.

You got it!

I played that game SO MUCH as a kid.

Free play it is.

An oldie, and you'll have to be an oldie to recognize it. I never got the last treasure back in the mid-80s when I played it but remedied that in the early 2000s using CoCo.

Not only that, when I found out the game was based on a series of books, I immediately begged my mom to buy them for me.

Hmmm. Were they any good?

I have very fond memories of them. I enjoyed them enough that I re-read them at least once or twice more.

Zork?

No, and probably too obscure of a text adventure. I don't know if it came out on anything except the TRS-80. We used to load it from cassette to play it.

Free Play.

(it was Rakka-Tu)

This seems older than Wing Commander so I have no idea.

Some clues before handing over to Free Play... it came out in 1986, originally developed for the ST and the Amiga, although there were also 8-bit versions. The game spawned a sequel.

I'm fairly sure I played this on the ST, maybe at a friends many many years ago, but I can't recall what it's called. My first instinct was a game called Captain Blood, but a quick search to check shows it's not that.

So, I'm stuck!

Ah, I have stumped you all. That means I win the thread, right?

The game is Starglider. Sorry, I thought it was more popular than it apparently was.

Free play!

Is that some version of Columns?

Nope. The pieces don't fall from the top on this one.

Oh, is it a version of Vexed?

Yeah, it looks like the rules are essentially the same but this is (I think) much older.

Well, that was Puzznic.

Let's bring this back with another lighthouse:

Hmmm. Art of Rally?

Yup!

I knew that immediately, since I posted a similar pic of that same lighthouse (and others) from that game last year. Such a great game, so I'm not bothered by the repeat.

Random Guess: Parappa the Rapper

Nope.

It's a VR game, if that helps.

Job Simulator?

Not that, either!

No clue what the game is, but the spreadsheet has been updated (last done in May).

I can picture a couple of VR games that look like that but can't name them

Last clue I'll give is that it's set in an educational facility.
