What's left for 2022?

I mean actually confirmed - not stuff like God of War 2 or Breath of the Wild 2 which may or may not make it this year.

I have Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (so I can play for 10 hours and give up! :)), Hogwarts Legacy, and ..... I think that might be it that I have seen announced.

That feels really light. what great games am I not thinking of?

Forspoken, Stray, Saint's Row, Splatoon 3, Pokemon, and Gotham Knights are all currently scheduled for this year.

The second half of the year is looking light with all the delays we've seen already, but this is probably a better question to ask in 2 weeks after all the Summer Games Fest showcases are done.

Looking pretty sparse but then there are games like Cyberpunk or Elden Scroll that I never picked up.

I’m looking forward to Marvel: Midnight Suns and STALKER 2.

I’m also interested in Saints Row and Gotham Knights

Soulhackers 2 looks good.

Saints Row, Steelrising, maybe Starfield.

Starfield was delayed to 2023 recently.

I just realized, that means Starfield, Final Fantasy XVI, and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf have a shot of releasing next year. That is a hell of an RPG lineup.

Monkey Island is still this year, though I’m interested in that mostly for nostalgia.

STALKER 2

Oh wow, they resumed development 2 weeks ago. Lets hope the war doesn't interrupt them again - and with that statement I'm obviously not primarily concerned about the game.

They announced Darktide's launch date is Sept 13th! As a big fan of the Vermintide games I've got high hopes.

Callisto Protocol is scheduled for December and has a ton of potential. Season: A Letter to the Future is loosely scheduled for autumn. I’m excited for both of those, for different reasons obviously, but hopefully we’ll get some releases or confirmations of releases sprung on us ‘last minute’ via Summer Games Fest. I’m feeling much more bullish about a GOW:Ragnarok release this year.

I think after I am done with Elden Ring I will be diving into 40k: Daemonhunters.

Jason Schreier is convinced God of War Ragnarok will be out this November.

All the rumors this week had it slipping to 2023. My money's on Schreier, but I'm sure we'll find out soon.

Midnight Suns pushed to 23 Q1.

Yep another one pushed out for more time. I prefer the extra time devs take to polish a game but still bummed because I’m me. To name a few that I have high hopes for that were recently delayed:

Midnight Suns
Arc Raiders
Darktide

Still very eager for Company of Heroes 3 in Nov, Immortal Empires beta for Total War Warhammer 3 in 2 weeks and a few others.

Harvestella is on my radar. Final Fantasy-meets-Stardew is how most people are describing it, but it looks to me like it'll still have a big focus on combat, with multiple combat jobs available to play.

I’m very confident God of War: Ragnarok is coming this year. It feels to me like the long delay in announcing a date was Sony making sure they could 100% hit any date they set.

Sons of the Forest is also coming this year having slipped from earlier in the year. A friend and I loved the first game and this one looks like a huge step up, graphically at least.

There's Rat Game 2, I mean A Plague Tale Requiem in October.

The Saints Row remake is coming out this month, for better or worse.

I'm very keen for Immortality - the new game from Sam Barlow (aka the Her Story & Telling Lies guy).

Midnight Suns was announced recently as delayed, possibly to Q1 2023.

Edit: looks like I wasn't the only one keeping an eye on this news lol

Bayonetta 3

Here's all the games I'm at least interested in. There's a very good chance a bunch of these aren't released this year and if they do, aren't actually any good

Saints Row (August)
Temtem (September)
Steelrising (September)
High on Life (October)
Chained Echoes (October?)
Kingdoms of the Dump (October?)
Skull and Bones (November)
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (November)
The Callisto Protocol (December)
One Lonely Outpost
Broken Roads
Dark Envoy
Palworld
Selfloss
Slime Rancher 2
Little Devil Inside
Crimson Desert
DokeV
Atomic Heart
Paleo Pines
Falling Frontier

I was looking at a release schedule this morning and the holiday season looks freakishly thin. There are very very few AAA games on deck.

Looking forward to Company of Heroes on November 17.

Isn’t that weird ass Sonic game supposed to come out in 2022? At a minimum I’m looking forward to the memes and videos of that thing

Moonscars looks promising. It’s coming in September.

Other than God of War and The Callisto Protocol, which have already been mentioned, I'm keeping an eye on:

Evil West (9/20)
Valkyrie Elysium (9/29)
Hogwarts Legacy (December)

I'm also interested in the Resident Evil VIII Gold Edition, but that's not "new, new," I guess.
