LEGO Nostalgia

The Atari 2600 was our first console. I remember the "game select" knob wearing down so we had to push it against the side as we lowered it to get it to work.

That is to say, my wallet hurts.

Still want that new castle.

Still not ready to throw down that much money for it.

I'll have to hope for a deep discount eventually.

My Galaxy Explorer is "In the warehouse."
I repeat, it is "In the warehouse."

They did a mini castle and now a mini haunted mansion.

Mini Small World when?

Mini Aerosmith ride.

Mini Small World when?

…it’s a small, small world…

So, not exactly nostalgia, but we maybe should all vote for This Is Fine on Lego Ideas…

Nice! I'm only through bag 3 so far. Will finish tonight or tomorrow.

Now that is nostalgia.

This thing is a beast! Just done with bag 1, but wow.

I was not a fan of bag 1. Just technic bricks and pins.

Bag 4 or 5 is when the magic starts happening.

I finished it tonight and it's amazing.

Technic bricks and pins are the magic, heathen!

3 are MOCs of my own. The smallest one and the two biggest ones are official Lego builds. One day I hope to add at least the medium sized ship from 1979 to this. That's the one I had growing up (one of the MOCs is made from some of the parts I still had of it).

I'm picturing you wearing a blue space suit while building those.

Lego Bluey reached 10000 on ideas in 3 days!

Instant buy for me if they make mini figures instead of the brick built ones. Probably still buy it anyway!

This is what you get when you cross a motorcycle with a bathtub. This is part of the Stuntz series. As a series all the sets are way overpriced. The bikes really zip though. I'm betting I could make a bike launcher that would do the same though. And for the sets I could just use my own sets as obstacles. I could make ramps out of playing cards or old boxes and jump my lego sarlacc pit. I could use hot wheel stuff to make something.

Anyway I would just buy a bike or two and build my own stunt course. If the sets were cheap I could see a reason to buy them or even if they were good sets but they aren't. The Stuntz sets are all terrible.

Anyway I give the tub bike 8 rubber duckies out of 10. I give the overall series 1 Titanic hitting 10 icebergs.

Star Destroyer for $50 off.

Lego Icons Galaxy Explorer is $75 at Walmart.

I did have to pick my local walmart (one was $100 and one was $75) but it was still free shipping... but YMMV.

I can't wait for it to get here for the WHOOOOSSSSHHHes!

That set is big time memories...
Looks like a slight revamp, no?

I never had the original, but it looked like this:

I did (and still do have the pieces for Cosmic Fleet Voyager which was my favorite:

That is the one!
The revamp is a nice homage

God, that makes me remember the Sears catalog...

Razor Crest. 6187 pieces, $599.99, October 7th.

Looks like I wasn’t too far off from what they’re doing with my MOC of baby Yoda’s hover pram.
