I'm actually really getting used to it and finding it very comfortable.
I wonder why they scrapped the white & black buttons on the 360.
I'd think that the ergonomics of upper and lower trigger/buttons wins out over expecting your thumb knuckle to repeatedly swing across that stick and 6 buttons.

I've been a fan of the Duke, well since the Duke. I disliked the smaller S style controller.
Nice! Mine is still somewhere beyond the horizon.
Not gonna lie, the fact that this is the only place I can find Lucas Pope's next game was a big factor.
I've had mine for about a month. Unfortunately, I got it a few days after my Steam Deck so I haven't done much with it yet other than putz around with the first few games.
Not a silly purchase, but I bought a new barbeque. Our last (and first) was a tiny, second-hand thing that was not in great shape before we even got it, but it was all we could afford. It officially died maybe about 2 or 3 years ago and we've been without one since. This new one is still not a particularly fancy barbeque (it's the cheapest 4 burner at our nearest specialist), but it's so much better than what I used to have. It also means I don't have to worry about my Australian citizenship being revoked anytime soon.

Yeah, like the console looks neat, but this has been the biggest thing to tempt me. Haven't quite taken the bait yet, but we'll see.

Completely forgot I ordered one awhile ago. It says I am next in line, so maybe early next year?
Technically last month, but finally got my board game storage fully assembled and set up
I was very, very silly.
I got the 13 and I regret not getting the 16 instead. That 24 is a beauty, though!
So we’re flying home after visiting friends in Santa Fe and our flights got delayed, so we visited a local mall. I found this cool toy store and they had an entire Star Trek section!

Looks nice! Are those Ikea Kallax?

Yeah. We went with doors and drawers on the bottom row because our elderly dogs don't know how to ask to go out very well, so we wanted to protect anything on that level. Then we went wide enough in the middle to leave room for the TV, and as wide as we had room for on the ends. We could have gone one 5 high on the ends, but they don't make a 3x5, and it would have been almost scraping the ceiling so we really aren't loosing any storage space if we simply put things on the top.
You can also see the copy of pandemic collectors edition mounted on the end at the right of the picture

I bought an “Amazon Renewed” Apple Magic Keyboard for my 12.9 iPad and I think it is now the best “laptop” I’ve ever had. I had tried the smaller one I had bought for my wife’s iPad but neither of us liked it. It was just too small on the lap.
The 12.9 is the perfect size for my lap, will NEVER get hot, and I can use it for 95% of my regular computing needs. I also had never heard of the the Amazon Refurbished branding and I only bought it because I knew I could return it easily. The keyboard is $350 brand new, but I got it for $229. I’ve only used it a bit, but it seems good as new as far as I can tell.

Every time you open one of those cabinets a rainbow should come out.
Just got my first 3d printer and having an absolute blast!
Did a bit of research and decided the kiss-buy (keep it simple, stupid)... Printing in 5 minutes and the thing hasn't been off for four days. My kids are painting all kind of Pokemon statues I have to print for them. But, more important, there is a beautiful, beautiful array and extensions printable for my Gravitrax-gear!
That's right, almost 50, and I love building marble-runs in the evening.
3D printer.
What model is that?

Bought it for 150 on Amazon. Dirt Cheap, I know - and there are far better and far larger and far more sophisticated printers out there. But Resin printing looked too much of a hassle for me with curing and all, and this one was unpack, plug in & print - which I thought was a good way to start and see if I like it.
10 by 10 by 10 won't let you print the biggest things, or largest Gravitrax-tracks. But the printer earned it's money already! In my lease-car I somehow lost a cap of the control lever - leasecompany/garage opted I should ring my insurance because they would have to renew the whole lever/thing for 800 euros.
Found a cap on thingieverse for my car, so it cost me 2 gram of filament instead. Ha!
I didn't know that toy existed. It's the kind of thing one could have a shelf in a reading room or study and it would just look like some kind of artefact or sculpture.
Exactly!

That is the most cyberpunk real life statement I've ever read.
Finally own a copy of my favorite horrible movie from the 80s.
I'm at GenCon this week. Many silly purchases are being made
I got one of these:
We've had a ridiculous harvest of blackberries so far this year. We're pulling in like 4-5 lbs of berries a day. So, I decided to distill my own blackberry moonshine. Wish me luck!

Interesting!
Mass ACHOOO! sets is one of the places I've been scoping for our forever home. It's going to be 12 or more years before we move, so you have that much time to perfect it. GO!
I miss picking blueberries back in Joisey when I was but a mere pre-teen.
