Did you know Earth and Beyond is still running via an emulator?
There were a couple of MMO RTS's not mentioned like Mankind and another whose name I've forgotten. I played PSO on the Dreamcast AND Xbox, so that counts as two points, right?

Star Wars Galaxies... Man that was fun. Barely ran on my 56k modem, but it did. I can't remember what frame rates I was getting but it was a sluggish as hell.
Even the fact that it barely ran, I only have fond memories of it. I even pretended to be sick to skip a family vacation so I could play SWG...
Did y'all know SWG is still running via emulation? Two in fact.
Do the Legends players and Restoration players feud with each other?
Do the Legends players and Restoration players feud with each other?
Probably on forums and social media, sure.
Which SWG? That game changed a LOT over the course of its run, and each iteration had its good and bad points...
I believe Legends has tried to keep the good stuff while dropping the stuff people didn't like. I never played og SWG but I've played both the new ones and I have to admit to liking Legends more.
FYI for Legends you'll need original SWG install media, but not for Restoration.
There's a lot of "stuff people didn't like" that would break the game if it was removed. For instance when they removed weapon and armor degradation the crafting game was completely dead within a year because nobody needed to buy anything.
Though since that happened we've had Minecraft and the entire "survival sim" genre take off, so maybe that isn't going to generate the sorts of complaints that it used to.

...They removed *what* now?
A little bit after WoW came out they majorly overhauled SWG. They made all kinds of drastic changes like replacing the skill system with like 9 classes*, changing the targeting system so that you had to aim at your target FPS style**, adding in a bunch of WoW-style quests***, and removing all item degradation. They did drastically increase the level of power that new items could have; that made for a large initial market because everyone wanted new stuff but once everyone had gear they were happy with they had no reason to buy more. I think they tried to fix the problem but I was long gone by then. The biggest result of this overhaul seemed to be that nobody really cared when they shut SWG down to make room for SWTOR.
*They did keep some non-combat classes as a nod to the crafters and entertainers, but that ended up feeling really weird in practice.
**It was still an RPG under the hood and stuff wasn't that hard to aim at. I kind of liked this change actually and think it would have been a good one without the other changes.
***Quests only took you up to level 35 out of like 90. From there you had to grind mobs until ~80 before you could go to Kashyyk and Mustafar, where the quests picked back up.
I'd suggest you try the emulated SWG games. They're very fun and impressive.
Hmm... I'm still on a Discord with some of my old town mates. Maybe I can convince them to give it a shot...
Just chiming in to also bring up SWGEmu which is going for the OG Pre-CU Galaxies experience.

Me either! Super cool! I am new to RetroArch. Any idea on which of the 8 SNES cores I should use on an Android phone? How do I pick?
Also, what is header and no header in the hack zip?

For SNES, the core probably won't matter much; it's a bigger deal with hard-to-emulate systems like N64 and Saturn. If there's a default, use that until / unless you have problems. If there's no default option, bsnes is a very accurate core but a little CPU-intensive. Try it, and if you have performance problems, try another one. Snes9x is another good one, good compromise between accuracy and performance. But again, if your phone has a decent processor, it probably won't make a big difference, any of them will probably work fine. It's one of those "pick one, and then don't worry about it unless you have a reason to" things.
Header vs. no header is two ways of dumping ROMs, so the makers of the patch made two different versions depending on which version of the ROM you have, which was nice of them. It's technical and I don't actually understand it in any real way, but in any case, try one of the patches, and if it works, great, but if it doesn't, try the other one. With only two options to worry about, that's probably easier than trying to figure out if your ROM is headered or unheadered. (-:
Thanks!
Suikoden: Recruit almost a hundred playable characters!
Also Suikoden: But the same four party members will be required 3/4 of the time, and the other two slots will be taken up by whoever's story-relevant to this mission, so good luck actually using any of them.
Suikoden: Giant army battles! One-on-one duels!
Also Suikoden: ...which are just rock-paper-scissors.
Suikoden: War requires hard choices.
Also Suikoden: ...but we won't let you make any, unless you consider cycling through four variations of "but thou must" until you finally choose the dialogue option that progresses the story a "choice."
This game is like a child's crayon drawing of what a late-SNES / early-PS1 JRPG should be. Not without its charms, not without some imagination, bright and colorful and friendly, but just a bit simplistic, just a bit empty.
This is mad. An unreleased prototype port of Quake for the…
GBA.
By the same guy who ported Doom to the SNES and built Bleemcast (PS1 emulator for the DC).
The e1m2 inspiration in the first map is quite clear. Pretty impressive stuff. Not a clue as to what's going on with the armor counter though.
I have absolutely zero use for this, but I kind of want it anyway:
Limited Run Games is doing a Limited Edition release of Adventure for the Atari 2600 that includes a light up cartridge.
This was one of my favorite Atari 2600 games back in the day so it has a bit of a soft spot for me. In the immortal words of Strong Bad: "Somebody get this freakin' duck away from me!"
So they're releasing this is an Atari 2600 cartridge? So you have to have a working Atari 2600 to play?
I think Sega has done a good job with the Minis and the game lineups are solid too. Almost would be nicer if they did something more like the Evercade and released compilation carts that plugged into a single Mini release.
So I found an amazing deal with some CIB NES games at a garage sale. Kid Icarus, Mario 3, and donkey Kong jr. I knew it was something special so got it home and after some research looks like I have a early print with the hanging tab for both kid Icarus and dk jr. Now im not a collector and know that both these might be a holy grail for some people here. If you are interested let me know and I can send some pics.
