My wife and I just finished it a couple of weeks ago. I loved the show, but every episode made me very angry precisely because I knew it was real. A great show, but very upsetting.

Yeah, seeing it happen and knowing I was there was very surreal. Finished it last night and yeah great but I hate that so much death, suffering, and pain have taken place for it. The Sacklers are sacs of sh1t and I hope they get what's coming to them in this life or the next.

My life had me

Spoiler:

working in a sports medicine and orthopedic clinic for the early years seeing people get addicted to it. Then I go to work a psych clinic and get folks into a Suboxone clinic among other things and addictions. I then worked to sign docs into networks and worked their contracts and billing. Some time later I built the plans that would help the members. Last up was me working with their medical transportation to the methadone or Suboxone clinics. Most of those drivers were frauds or just getting busses of them. They'd cruise parking lots getting folks info to just make up rides unfortunately. I hope many got help...f*cking breaks my heart. I am so glad I never had a chance in my life to get hooked, that sh*t scares me.

Woohoo a judge just overturned their bankruptcy protection!

I think the last several seasons have frequently dipped too far into fan service but it’s at least nice how regularly new seasons drop:

Wait, did that say Dec. 26? That day has already passed! I can watch this now?!

Finally got around to watching season 2 of The Great. Enjoyed the hell out of it, glad to hear it is getting a 3rd season. Huzzah!

Hope they do not have to recast Bender.

Good news, everyone!

Will it come in suppository form this time?

I watched Fresh last night. Man...a movie that I loved up until the last 15 minutes or so when it went off the rails. I'd still recommend a watch if you want just a bananas movie. Probably the less known about the plot, the better, so go in cold if you can. I just wish they would've landed the plane better.

Started and finished Only Murders in The Building over the last 10 days or so. Really great! Interesting that they went into it setting up season 2 from the intro. Glad it's getting another season.

Season 2 of Dicktown recently started. It’s an animated comedy series starring John Hodgeman as John Hunchman, a former Encyclopedia Brown-style child detective who is now a middle-aged man still living in his hometown solving mysteries for teens with his former school bully.

Watched Palm Springs and liked it. It takes a new spin on the repeating day trope. Movie was a complete surprised because I thought this was a completely different movie. I don't think I ever heard of this movie before watching it.

Its a groundhog movie so you know what you are going to get mostly. They come hard on the funny and the humanity. This might have been the best movie using this concept but not the best I have seen from tv. The acting was good and the story fun.

I give this movie 1 star repeated forever.

Yup. That movie came out at such a bizarre time. It was released in the middle of so many people being locked down. Folks were making comments about every day being the same as the last, and an amazing time loop movie gets released.

Atlanta is back. Excited to be impressed but bummed at how it'll for sure hit home.

I thought I'd mentioned it in this thread at one point, but 12 Monkeys, the series. A pretty solid 47 episodes of time travel that bows with a definitive ending.

I always wondered how that was. I really loved the movie, so I am more interested knowing that it is worth a look.

Nice to know it has an ending. Looked interesting.

I've enjoyed it so far. The first episode opens with a fascinating take on what it means to be/become white.

We're re-watching ER for the third time. Anyone that likes medical shows and needs to kill a bunch of time (331 episodes), it's a classic.

I watched that a lot with my family growing up. During lockdown I revisited a few episodes. I forgot how much I loved the Carter/Benson dynamic.

It makes it clear that it intends to go in a different direction both in tone and story-wise within the first episode. Instead of the "what is sanity" type pontificating in the movie that Terry Gilliam always does, this is more in the vein of more traditional time-travel questions like whether or not your interference is what causes the thing you are trying to prevent to happen in the first place.

It doesn't make the greatest first impression (if I hadn't heard such good things about it beforehand, I might have bailed thinking it was another generic low-budget sy-fy channel show) but towards the end of the first season it starts being more comfortable with the setting and also stops taking things super seriously. It still has a couple tropes that I wasn't crazy about. For example, it would be better if the bad guys were less cartoonish, and it suffers from the time-travel writing issue where occasionally it feels like a person does something so the time loop makes sense, not because it fits with their normal character traits. But as a whole it is very refreshing and less dour and serious than Dark.

And yes, the creators talked about how they wrote the outlines of all episodes of Seasons 3 and 4 backwards and all at once to ensure they pulled off the conclusion they wanted.

The Letterkenny spin-off Shoresy is up. It’s basically just more Letterkenny, it’s got the same tone/pacing/joke structure and there are even some characters that are direct analogues of Letterkenny characters. I’m starting to get tired of the Letterkenny formula but if you’re still into it you’ll probably like Shoresy as well.

Aaaah yes

I'm a little disappointed in the latest episode of the Orville. As a standalone episode, it was good, but obviously it was the introduction of that universe's version of the Borg. I kind of wish they had been a little more creative rather than seemingly rehashing all of the Star Trek ideas.

Watched the first two episodes of The Bear and I think this is a very cool show.

Watched Crime + Punishment and thought it was pretty good. This is documentary on police corruption.

Yep! Loved the first episode. Obsessed with cooking shows and whatnot...
